I’ve loved EW and I’ve been a client for over 7 years at this point. I hate to leave such a negative review and I kept putting it off thinking things would get better. I’m not sure what happened last wednesday with my technician but she managed to completely destroy my brazilian wax – I am in an immense amount of pain, I am covered in bumps. I am a relatively consistent waxer, who used all of the pre and post serums sold by EW. Today I tried to call the location to let them know I would not like to see her again and get some help as it’s been 5 days and the swelling has not gone down – the spcific “concerns” line was busy and then disconnected. I tried the reservations line and they put me on hold for 15 minutes and then the automatic machine told me they start taking reservations at 9am – it was 9:20am. Anyway, this experience has been so painful and I feel so dismissed I think I’ll try a different spot.

This location is absolutely horrible and beyond unprofessional. I went in for a 12:45pm appointment and waited 30 minutes! After 30 minutes, they notified me that there wasn’t an available aesthetician. Note that I arrived five minutes before my appointment time and I called the morning of to confirm my appointment for the day with the services that I was scheduled for. The staff seemed unconcerned that they overbooked and refused to rectify the situation. Do not waist your time or energy to go to this location. Absolutely horrible.

I just moved to chicago and needed a new place to get waxed. I stopped in based off of a friend’s recommendation and they were able to book my apt that day! I started off with an eyebrow wax to try them (which your first visit is free!!). Crystal was absolutely amazing! She was so informative about the entire process. We chatted real quick about what I expected and she explained ideally where they should be. Of course I went with her recommendation and they turned out great! I’ve had many waxes over the years, but this was by far my best experience I’ve ever had! To top it all off, she even filled in my brow when she was done, which is life-changing because I’ve always just used a generic brow pencil not knowing how to use powers/gels. I’ve already booked my next apt and without a doubt recommend Crystal 10/10!!
