I really liked this place but yesterday evening I had a not so great experience. I got my underarms and legs waxed. Everything seemed fine until I woke up this morning. This was my third mad experience at the European Wax Center. I’m going to preface this by saying I am a massage therapist and waxer for a living. The first time, the waxing specialist had turned the wax a little too high and burned my bikini area and some parts of my lady bits. Eventhough I spoke up about it the waxer ignored me and just kept doing their job. The second time, the waxer was great and nothing was wrong at first…then came the rash, ingrown hairs, and an ungodly infection. The dermatologist suspected the wax had grown some sort of bacteria and I just happened to have come in contact with it. Then today, my waxer was okay, slightly unprofessional but she was good. I’m again unsure as to what happened with the wax but it did not remove all the hairs that were long enough and it’s caused me a major break out before surgery. I’m not upset with the workers. I’m upset with the sanitation…and when you work in the cosmetic field. Cleanliness is the name of the game.
