Booked with the wrong tech due to them both having the same name and left with hair up my crack. To make matters worse I tipped over 20%. Would’ve preferred to be a bit more hairless back there. I’ve always been skeptical of chain wax salons and going to random techs and this just proves my point.

I booked through the website which was very easy. This was my first time going so I went with a recommendation for who to go to and I choose Shay. She was very understanding that I was so nervous since it was my first time. She walked me through the process including after care. She was very personable and made my first experience a great one. If you book through EWC you won’t be disappointed if you go to Shay.

Life happens, traffic is real and that’s why grace periods exist. I don’t understand how I was told that there is a 15 minute grace period for a late appointment, I arrive in 10 and I’m denied service because the policy is actually 8 minutes. I have not received an email saying the grace period changed and 8 minutes is just an odd random number. I also wasn’t acknowledged until another customer walked in and the customer who was conversing with the greeter had to tell her to acknowledge the customer that came in after me. No acknowledgement of my presence and then denied service. Terrible customer service and I don’t want to ever come back.

So I usually don’t write reviews to chains. I usually go to this location and get pretty good waxes, but today i had the BEST experience with my waxer Shay. She assessed my skin for the brazilian told me my skin type and recommended me products based on that. It was pretty painless considering how long the hairs were. She took care of those ingrowns and even tweezed!!! She put a serum and lotion (no waxer did this to me before) and i was just blown away!! i recommend anyone to specifically book with Shay!!!

I’ve been to this location several times due to proximity to my house with mixed reviews because of high turnover of their staff but after this last experience I will never go back nor will I ever refer anyone to this place again. I went to my 11:30 appointment I was a tad late due to some road closures in the area I was unaware of but made it within the 8 min “grace period ” they allow. Once I arrived I tried to check in but I was told I couldn’t. When I asked why they said because the waxer, Tonarsha, said she wouldn’t take me because I was late though they block out 15 mins per customer and I was within the 8 min window they allow. Not to mention it’s a 10 min service if that! Then when I said that didn’t make sense and I arrived within the grace period, the front desk person proceeded to tell me that Tonarsha was just coming back from lunch and wouldn’t take me. So let me get this straight, she’s coming back from lunch at 11:38 and my appt was at 11:30 so what would have happen if I was there at 11:30? I’m never going back to this place or giving them my money off of sheer principal that they lied to me and obviously don’t value their customers! Front desk personal are also not very competent. The front desk girl i was talking to (wish I would have gotten her name) offered no solution. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!

My skin was extremely irritated due to the wax specialist literally scraping my skin to remove the remaining wax. Instead of using a wax removal liquid she left my skin extremely irritated and red from scraping skin that was just waxed. She told me to go home and wash with soap and water to get wax off. Also I had to tell her to go back in because she left a patch of hair. She was sweet my experience just was that great
