0 stars. I have been seeing Mona to get my eyebrows waxed for a few years now, so I feel like I’m a regular customer. European Wax Center has lost my business forever, and I am livid. Most recently, I was nine minutes late for my appointment. As I was pulling up into the parking lot, the receptionist called me to say that my appointment would now need to be rescheduled or cancelled, as I was past the “8-minute late window.” What on earth? If you have such a strict and specific policy that customers cannot be more than 8 minutes late or else forfeit their appointment, why would you not communicate that in the appointment confirmation notifications, or on the website? I explained that I had no idea about this policy and that it should have been communicated to me. The receptionist started acting pretty rude and told me that it was, in fact, on the website. I double checked the website and my appointment notifications and confirmed I was NEVER told about this policy. I also said that if the window was 8 minutes, why wouldn’t someone reach out to me before it was too late? I understand being late to an appointment is annoying, but I am a regular customer and feel like some level of flexibility should have been provided, or at LEAST a communication about the 8-minute late window policy. And I don’t understand why the receptionist lied to me about it being on the website. She then tried to tell me that the policy was verbally told to me the first take I came in, which is absolutely ridiculous – for one, it was not. Two, it wouldn’t matter. For an extremely strict policy like that, it needs to be actually communicated to you (i.e. in writing), for example, when you make an appointment. I asked her to have the supervisor call me back and have not heard anything. There are tons of other brow wax places I can go to. You have lost a loyal customer.

First wax ever, I had an appointment today with Mona and she was an angel! She made the whole session easy for me without feeling awkward at all. Walked me through the process and gave me a heads each time. Her, making a conversation with me made me feel less tense and nervous. The whole waxing experience was not as bad as I expected, Mona is recommending : )

The technicians are amazing. The front desk person leaves much to be desired. I walked in the door at the cut out, maybe 1 minute earlier and she wouldn’t let me get my service. The person after me was late so I could have Been In and out. But no, she wanted to be difficult. Very frustrating, as I’ve been coming her for a while.

Today was my first time visiting European Wax Center in Olney, I was nervous and excited at the same time. When I walked in Naomi greeted me and was very professional. While I am waiting to be seen, I was speaking in Spanish with my best friend on the phone. While I am sitting waiting minding my business, Jennifer a front desk associate aggressively tells me to take my call outside. I said to her I am sorry I didn’t see a sign that said no phones and looked around to see if maybe I missed it. She said I can’t hear myself talk while your talking. I honestly felt like she only had a problem because I was speaking Spanish.

Surprised and disappointed that as a courtesy to a customer she wouldn’t but one on for 15 minutes. Doesn’t matter that she was vaccinated. Still a risk especially in such a small room. Left…..
