This place is completely unprofessional. Besides the inappropriate conversations at the front desk, the smell of the food they are eating completely hovers around the front of the store. If that weren’t gross enough, you have to wait over ten minutes for your appointment.

Today when visiting this European Wax Center, I was met with rather very unprofessional and quite frankly rude service. Beginning at the reception granted I was a few minutes lates but still within my 9 minute grace period I was forced to reschedule for a later appointment (not the biggest inconvenience but still nonetheless). Then when I was finally seen in the back my waxer conducted herself extremely unprofessionally, typically my wax starts with bikini and is followed by underarms or viceversa so I’m not standing there completely in the nude, which I appreciate. On this particular day I was instructed to remove all my clothing which I was uncomfortable with. As my experience continued I was met with extremely hot wax and when I commented on it I was met with “well did you even shower today?”- which pertains very little to the situation at hand and was dismissed as nothing. In addition my waxer had very little bedside manners and was extremely rough with the rest of my wax leaving me red and irritated. Reviews are very important to me and they help me decide on where I spend my dollar. I choose to come here because of the reviews which are usually pleasant. Which is why it is important for me to leave this one and I am curios to see how this will be handled. Thank you for your time

My visits are always pleasant to European Wax Center. My wax specialist Remi at the Howard Beach location does an excellent job with her work. She makes me feel comfortable and makes sure to recommend products for hydrating my skin. Her recommendations works wonders! Especially the Body Butters! I look forward to my visits, they are very therapeutic!

Purchased a full leg wax package for 12 sessions. I had a great experience the first time in went and looked forward to going back. Since that first time I’ve used about 6 and stopped getting them done. None of the employees do a good job waxing. They always miss patches of hair, don’t double check and one employee did such a horrible job she left my legs covered in bruises. She didn’t apply baby powder before starting.

Completely understandable but her delivery is not pleasant, not someone who should be the first person you see when guest arrive I will be canceling my wax pass. Critical: ProfessionalismI had an appointment for 11:30 am on 9/3. I arrived and got checked in @ 11:37 am. Upon check in I asked for a mask. The receptionist told me they would give me one. When the wax specialist ( black hair and tattoos) came to get me from the waiting area I told her i was waiting on a mask. She (black hair and tattoos) told me they didn’t have any and to go to a store near by to get one. When I returned with the mask and tried to go to room #3, there was another wax specialist (long blond hair with) blocking the door. I said excuse me and she asked where I was going. I told her to room number 3 because the other wax specialist told me to go to that one. She then said “ no you’re not, no your not, she nots taking you anymore I am.” I explained to her that wax specialist I booked for told me to get a mask from the store and come to room #3. Then she said I was late for my appointment (although I was there before the 9 minute grace period) and that I would have to wait until after they are both done with their other appointments. I decided to cancel and asked the receptionist to speak with a manager. The receptionist went to the back and the two wax specialist I described above came back the waiting area to address me. The one with the tattoos who I originally booked the appointment with told me she was not taking me because I was late and I explained to her I checked in before the grace period she told me I had bad time managing skills and that me needing a mask ( which should is suppose to be provided by businesses for customers if requested) made me late. I asked her if she was not going to service me why did she tell me to go to the store to get a mask. She then said she doesn’t know me and I said you get new clients everyday why would you need to know me I order for you to take me if I arrived before the grace period. After they finished verbally attacking me the manager came out and asked me to step outside. When I called back to ask for the names of everyone involved and hey lied to me about the wax specialist names. The names they gave is not listed in the list as specialist to book.
