I have used European Wax Center multiple times and various locations and states and have never had a good experience. They consistently do not listen to clients when requesting specifics to their service; and instead spend lots of time trying to get individuals to purchase their products and judging your body’s condition. This is the third time I have had someone remove all hair from my pubic region after giving explicit instructions and spending ample time at the forefront of the appointment explaining how I would like to be waxed. The service provider instead did not listen and instead spent time to judge my body and state of skin/exfoliation and quote “got carried away” removing all of the hair I had requested not be removed. Further, the expectation to then tip the service provider after they had messed up is ridiculous.

Very quick, efficient, and friendly. I needed a wax quickly. Normally I would go to sugarNYC down the block but my sugarista is always booked and everyone there is not competent. Here, you walk in and get a wax done no problem. SugarNYC is great too but I think I’m going back to waxing now lol

If you are trans femme or just any gender identity, I can not recommend Kacy enough!! I was incredibly nervous about getting my first wax after struggling to find a place to accept me. Based off a recommendation from another trans woman, I decided to give Kacy a chance. They were friendly, kind, and understanding of my needs. Finding a queer waxer was the cherry on top of walking out feeling amazing! It hurt much less than I thought it would and Kacy was able to recommend aftercare and even wrote it down for me so I will not forget the steps. They walked me through each part of the waxing process and explained things with a passion that shows they care about their job and clients. I will be returning!!

I have had my eyebrows waxed for decades, but the service I received from EWC is shameful. The woman waxing me (Shinel/Coco) was so rude and rough. I had her once before and decided to give her the benefit of the doubt; everyone has a bad day and maybe this was hers. A month later, as fate would have it, I got her again. Same rudeness. Same attitude. She didn’t say hello, put unneeded pressure on my head and on my eyes, and then proceeded to remove half my eyebrow with the hottest wax.I nearly jumped off the table and her response was, “It’s warm?” No apology or change. I should have gotten off the table then. And if that wasn’t painful enough, she plays music from her own boombox so you have to endure the house music playing in addition to her own at loud levels. This was the opposite of relaxing and professional. I can’t understand why an employee who treats customers in this manner is allowed to behave this way. I will never visit this business again.

As others have mentioned, I had to go for a touch up because hair was left in places it should have been removed. I agree that it’s frustrating and disappointing to have to spend the time to go back and spent more money with leaving the second person another tip. Even more disappointing was the manager’s attitude when I asked questions. She acted as if I was bothering her. Very rude. I’ve been going to EWC for years in Manhattan with no issues. I wouldn’t recommend this Brooklyn location. Such a bummer.

This is a nice clean place I tried few people in there and once I tried nevy I was satisfied! It’s not just waxing with her she pays close attention to your skin and knows how much waxing your skin can handle she won’t over due it. She’s fast n sufficient. She listens. So till u ready then she’s ready. The customer service staff is good always greeted as I walk in. Calling can b a bit annoying at time’s getting put on hold. Their products seem to b good I’ve only used the body wash smells great and I’ve used the gel scrub that u can c the dirty skin coming off ur skin. Overall ave U location great place ask for nevy. After a nice wax u can go up the block to kings plaza mall. Enjoy!

I’ve gone to this location repeatedly over the last few months and I don’t have any complaints. I absolutely love my waxer Leaisha. She’s thorough, clean, and fast. The facility as a whole is clean and the vibe is always on point. I’ll definitely go to this location for as long as they are there.
