I have been going to the European wax center for years, and I am very disappointed with my most recent experience. When I arrived, they asked if it was OK that the person doing my brows was going to have someone watching them in the room. I told them I didn’t mind, because I assumed that it was a student that would be watching them do the work. However, it seemed that the person doing my brows was being evaluated. This was quite concerning, as I was paying for the service, and no one explained to me if this person was even experienced or not. In the middle of her doing my brows, she asked the person who was evaluating a question, and the lady said she should’ve done something differently but she’ll talk about it after. Meanwhile, I was sitting there, having no idea what she was talking about. I tried to keep an open mind, but when I left, pieces of my hair were still on my face that had been waxed off, and I was not cleaned up. I also realized that both of my eyebrows were shaped differently. The person doing my brows also told me that I was missing some hair on my brow and I asked her how this is possible and she told me it must’ve been someone else who did my brows before. I have only gotten my brows done here, so this is disappointing to hear. I know nothing about beauty stuff, so I rely heavily on the specialist to do their job right. I am upset that I spent money on this service that made me look worse, and now I’m disappointed because I don’t really wanna come back here again.

This was my first Brazilian wax. The first Brazilian wax, promotion priced at $29.50. I made my reservation online. I received a follow-up call the day before to confirm my appointment. They had several locations. I choose the one closest to me, on the website. I came to my appointment, the receptionist called me right in, the whole process took about 20 minutes. The room was clean. The materials was freshly used. The lady tried to up sell me on the serum that was $30. The serum is to prevent razor bums, “I declined, but I wish I would have gotten it”. Overall the experience was good. I was extremely nervous. The lady told me the pain, is the worst the first time. On a scale from 1 to 10 the pain was a 6.

Frankly I’m very disappointed with this location. I have gone through 4 girls in the past year. The turnover in the last year says very little of this location and its management. Plus, it gives me bad anxiety. Especially, after I finally get comfortable with someone. The first girl burned me and caused me so much pain and since that experience it was hard to get comfortable with someone new. Then I found Dani who btw was amazing but not too long after she was gone. Then Olympia (also great) and then Sabrina (by far my favorite wax specialist). Now, they are gone too. I knew Sabrina had left prior to them informing me because my best friend went to her too. However, I wasn’t informed of her leaving until 2 weeks after she left and a day before my appointment. That to me is unprofessional and poor management. My other friend recommended Zee, so I booked with her and not even a week later I was informed she wasn’t available (even after booking with her) because she was going on vacation. So I waited a few days to book again because I was furious. I went to book with Zee today and now she’s no longer there. Honestly, this is ridiculous and I don’t know that I want to continue going to EWC at all for services. Unfortunately, I don’t have much of choice since I have a package and I have to go until I run out of my sessions. But after all that I think its time to find a new place.
