I want to preface this review by saying my daughter and I have been going to this location for a year now. My daughter has a package with them. On her most recent visit the wax specialist went over with wax so many times that my daughter’s underarms were raw. She was in so much pain. It was also done so sloppy that she was left with wax residue (see picture). As days went on we noticed markings and darkness occurring which was clearly a result of the poor job that was done. I contacted the store immediately and their response was to use their brightening cream. The front desk girls were so sweet and tried to help as much as they could. I asked them to confirm with their manager that this cream would be of no cost, considering it was needed due to the wax specialists negligence. Over a week later and a few calls, the manager has had no interest in contacting me to rectify the situation. I have never witnessed such poor management. I won’t post an after due to my teenage daughters embarrassment, but I’m happy to share with those that are interested or may have any solutions. If her skin does not get any better soon, I will most definitely be taking further action.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. The manager at this location is beyond rude and incompetent. I came in, she sold me a package after a couple of days I decided to cancel. Not only did I call 2x asking politely for a refund I ended up having to come in person because she neglected to do it. I ask her if it’ll be for the full amount since they never gave me the refund the first time but still called me saying I have an appointment (weird) she says yes so I leave. Only to find that it wasn’t for the full amount. I call and she tells me there’s a cancellation fee that she herself never told me about but that’s my fault because the system won’t allow it. I know that she can give me a refund it’s not like I ever received a service and I even called twice to cancel before my appointment. Personally I understand if you can’t make something happen but don’t lie to me saying you told me about a cancellation fee when you never did not the first time when I got the package and definitely not when I came in person to get a refund. Bad business practices!!!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I had an absolutely terrible first experience here and I will most definitely NEVER be back. I came here today (5/25) for the first time. I have had my eyebrows waxed in the past, but I came for a Brazilian for the first time at my friend’s recommendation. Now first, let me start by saying I did recoil after the wax was pulled off. Again, it was my first time and it hurt more than I expected it to. I had a “half off your first Brazilian” coupon, my wax was $33. I felt really bad and like I was a difficult client for recoiling, so I decided to leave my waxer (I still don’t know her name) a $20 tip. I regret leaving anything for a tip and I regret coming here. I had had my sister with me and she said the woman doing my wax was laughing to herself when she was waxing and I was uncomfortable. I didn’t personally see this as I kept my eyes on the ceiling, but that’s just plain unprofessional. Now, the woman had asked if I wanted her to get the inside and if I did I couldn’t move at all. Knowing I was uncomfortable, I chose to skip that and have her do the outside and the butt strip only. That being said, I expected there to still be hairs on the inside. HOWEVER, there were still a lot of hairs on the outside and where she did the butt strip. She even said at one point she was doing a cleanup. But if you’re doing a cleanup, shouldn’t you be getting all the hairs you missed? There was also a lot of leftover was where she did the butt strip and on other places. I had a cesarean section 7 weeks ago and there was blue wax all over where the incision was done when I got home. I had to remove these wax pieces myself. I’m honestly really upset that I spent about $60 (bought a serum to prevent ingrown hairs as well) to leave with the results I did. I wasted money to just be red and irritated, still have hair, and to be left with wax on me. I didn’t realize these things were issues until I went home and actually looked at the final result or I never would have booked another session 4 weeks from now. I will definitely be canceling the appointment I have and I will not be back. I highly recommend avoiding this place and going elsewhere.

I Did not have a good experience here, AT ALL. I received a wax from one of their specialist and I was very unhappy with the results.It was still wax glue residue left, as well as not giving me a clean wax. One of my most unpleasant experiences as the specialist continued to wax over the same spot continuously (more than 3/4 times in one spot). Not to mention, but to stress that the job was not done well.

The customer service at the North Brunswick location is horrible. I have been going to this location for a while and multiple waxers have left over the years leaving you with no consistency. Having a new waxer with no experience during my last visit who did a horrible job and left patches of hair in every area you would think would be a simple fix. NOPE! The manager is never there and never comes to the phone to address issues and relays messages via the receptionist. Don’t bother calling corporate because they give you the same generic this is passed off to management email also. I have contacted the BBB and NJ state board.

I never write reviews but I’m upset about a bad experience and want to spare others of a similar situation. I went to Alyssa at the North Brunswick location and she burned a layer of skin on my upper lip. This was a few days ago and it’s still red and healing. Underneath my eyebrow was also lightly burned. I called the next day and was told that the manager would give me a call back the following day. I didn’t hear back so I called again twice, only to get different responses from the front desk staff about what time or whether she would be in that day. I find it hard to believe that there wouldn’t be a manager on site all day. I gave them my phone number twice and still no response. The waxers need better training, as do the office staff because they aren’t informed or professional.
