I had my first ever waxing experience here. My first visit wasn’t bad at all. The waxer was nice and I was happy with the services I paid for. Unfortunately my follow up experience was horrific. I had the same waxer and before she started to place the wax strips I asked her to leave the landing strip alone as she did the first time I was there. She went on to wax all my hair off. I spoke to the managers assistant and she said she would speak to the waxer. I call the next day because I’m so unhappy with what was done to my body without my consent. I spoke to the manager on the phone and she explained that a conversation with the waxer did take place but she could not disclose any other details. I was never offered any type of compensation so I asked to cancel the wax pass that I paid for. The manager then got nasty with me in her tone of voice. She said if I cancel then I’ll only have store credit, which can only be used at this specific location, I said that’s fine as long as I get a different waxer. I don’t understand where the compassion was. I mean I paid for a service that was done incorrectly. I wasn’t even upset completely with the waxer, I understand mistakes can happen but the way the situation was handled after I spoke to management was and is unacceptable. Yes it’s hair and it will grow back, but it won’t be the same. It’s my body and the manager on the phone seemed not to care. At least the managers assistant offered an apology.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I’ve gone here couple times because I really liked the one girl I was with. Once she left I’ve had nothing but bad experiences. First time after she left, after my appointment they asked if I wanted to purchase packages and I kindly declined and when I went to my following visit suddenly I was charged for a package of 3 visits. I let it go because I figured I would utilize it now that I have it. Now I made an appointment for Friday at 8:45 because it was available and someone called me from the office and asked if I could move my appointment to 5:30 and I explained to her I couldn’t do 5:30 because of work and she ignored what I said and responded be here by 8:39 or the appointment is missed and hung up. I later received an email saying the appointment was moved to 8:30 and I immediately called the office just for the lady at the front desk to tell me the appointment was deleted. I wouldn’t go back to this location if it was the last one on Earth.

Critical: ProfessionalismOn 6th Aug 2021, my appointment was scheduled at 6:15 pm EST at EWC, Union. Due to traffic on road , I was running a little late and I had called the Union center to let them know that I would be there by 6:30. The lady told me they have a 9 minutes no show policy, so it is okay if I reach by 6:24 pm but not if I reach any minute late. I managed to reach the center at 6:27 pm, but the lady who was at the reception very rudely told me that she has canceled my appointment as I am 12 minutes late. I asked her if she can accommodate at least some of my services if not all. She rudely told me NO, the entire appointment is cancelled. I told her that there have been various instances before this, wherein I had to wait for the wax professional for 20/25 minutes just because she was not done with her previous customer. So if there are such strict policies for customer no shows, how do they explain delays when they make the customer wait? She was not interested in answering my question and coldly said that my appointment today stands cancelled. I have been very disappointed with the behavior of the front desk person that I experienced today. I will be taking my business elsewhere and I recommend anyone coming to this center to expect a cold, harsh, machine like behavior from the front desk. Please do not expect them to understand your problems and react with empathy.
