Scheduling my first Brazilian was very nerve-wracking and I was worried about the experience being awkward and painful. After reading many posts, everyone wrote amazing reviews on one of the waxers, Joann. I booked with her and let me just say… she was absolutely amazing!! She told me step by step what she was doing and provided me tips on how to care for the area for an even better result. She kept a calm atmosphere and was very down to earth. I use this location as it’s closeby compared to other locations and used to see Marisa. She was the only waxer I felt comfortable with when getting a Brazilian done. She was personable, professional, and thorough with her work. I’m not a super frequent visitor as it’s expensive for only a few weeks of hairlessness, but I went to make an appointment with Marisa and they had told me she no longer works there. Okay…so I went to see Dawn as per the receptionist’s recommendation. Needless to say I was uncomfortable and Dawn, while a nice person, left a lot of hair behind and just seemed like she wanted it to be over with. I’ll be going to a different location from now on or using a different business.

JoAnn was AWESOME!!! Highly recomment JoAnn and European Wax Center. I recieved the brazillian wax. They use a “hard” wax that does not hurt as much as other waxes that use the strip. Don’t get me wrong, it still hurt, but not as bad as previous waxes. JoAnne cleaned, preped, waxed and put on a serum to help with ingrown hairs after the treatment. She educated me on some things that I was not aware of, i.e. never knew about ingrown hair serium or slow grow lotion. I also liked that they had extended hours and clinitians on service. I was able to book same day, lots of availibility, which is a plus for busy moms who don’t know when they will get a chance to have free time for themselves. I was VERY pleased with the service I recieved. Definatly recommend. Very reasonable prices. Rebooked and will stick with this company. Thank You So Much JoAnn and European Wax Center. I feel much cleaner and better about my appearance.

The girl I had was absolutely lovely and made me feel very comfortable but when i got home i realized she had missed a lot of spots that were definitely long enough to have been taken off. So I paid a lot for a service that I then had to try and complete at home. I’m not an experienced waxer so obviously I haven’t done an amazing job but I was very disappointed that I paid so much and had such bad quality of work. The girl I had was absolutely lovely and made me feel very comfortable but when i got home i realized she had missed a lot of spots that were definitely long enough to have been taken off. So I paid a lot for a service that I then had to try and complete at home. I’m not an experienced waxer so obviously I haven’t done an amazing job but I was very disappointed that I paid so much and had such bad quality of work. I usually get waxed back home on Long Island but come to school here in Rhode Island. I was very nervous about coming to a new waxing center after months of the same waxer. I went to Alissa today for my Brazilian and Underarms and have to say she did a phenomenal job. She was super quick and honestly might have been one of the least painful waxed i’ve had.
