The first time I went to this place, I was told that they don’t open until 9am, but several other women went in at 8:50am and they have them service. I literally had to wait and I had an appointment for $200 services. I ended up not getting what I wanted. I tried to give them another chance and went a second time. I was told that I had to come on a weekday to get the purple glass nails I wanted because it would have taken too long and needed the only person that can do designs. I ended up deciding to have them do my own nails in purple gel, while the two women next to me was getting similar technical designs that would have taken as much time as mine. I really hate to feel like it was micro aggression or prejudice because I’m really a nice woman and hate confrontation, but they made me feel a way and I’ve never felt that before in Folsom. The people and services I’ve used here are usually nice and inclusive.

I usually drive out to Roseville to get my nails done, but I was tight on time. I found Essence nails on yelp and google, and made an appointment. I felt like I wanted to pamper myself since I had a hard week and I was looking forward to a nice foot massage and relaxing visit. My visit was not relaxing. I was more stressed out by the time I finished my appointment here.

My sister and I had a phenomenal experience here! Incredibly clean and comfortable. Reasonably priced. We don’t get our nails done very often, so we don’t always know the right words to use, or what products we want to use. Polish, Gel, Powder? They have it all! Since we had never tried powder, we were hesitant at first. The technicians were very kind and happy to educate us on these newer products and options. We are so pleased with the results and recommendations!

My nails aren’t perfect, but they did a hell of a lot better than I could!From start to finish, it was about 1.5-2hrs. I hadn’t gotten my nails done professionally ever.
