I was in a rush and got called into the store by a very friendly and inviting salesman, who right away got me to sit down and put cream on saying it will only take a minute…It was over 10 minutes and I said I can’t purchase because I do not have the funds right now or the time…He said he wanted to show me something and was taking advantage of my super nice personality, and of course he is still friendly and inviting which makes it hard to be rude… I still said I am not buying….he called me to a corner and whispered that he can’t talk loud because near the register it records but to just say “yes” when he asks if I work in a salon…the way he was insisting and had sense of urgency made it seem I would get for free…so he asked “oh you work at Paul Mitchell? why didn’t you say so before? Can I have your id and card?” so I regretfully hand over my card and id thinking we need to pretend it is my salon Id and that he would possibly charge a small fee for my “free” item…….when I walked out to see what I got it was a $100 bill and face cream I did not want, I actually have a ton that Ive never used. So feeling stupid and embarrassed and now with only 15 minutes left to do my shopping I originally had 30 minutes to do I rushed out….After thinking about it, a customer should not especially in America and a high end shopping mall should not be conned, tricked, or manipulated into purchasing something they did not want or need. Of course, there are no returns or refunds!!!! HAHA, no wonder they are going out of business….Also, I think a lot of his motivation was to show the girl in the store who was probably training or his competition “how to make a sale” Please trainee, do not fall to this level!
