A truly amazing stylist. Ricky is both professional and extremely knowledgeable about his craft. His salon is sanitary, well-decorated, and a wonderful environment for top-grade styling. I’ve been visiting him biweekly for more than a year, and I would never consider going anywhere else. The staff is incredible, also. Ricky is an absolute genius! For the last year or so I put a lot of work into making my hair healthy and ready for doing a balayage. My hair was finally healthy and prepared for bleaching. I made an appointment with a salon and was there for 4 hours. What I got wasn’t a balayage or an ombre. It was a total disaster and my hair was now fried and orange. The toner was non-existent and a line ran across my hair that made me cringe. I called my best friend crying asking her to help me fix this issue or I would have to cut all my hair off. She makes a quick call and drives me to her stylist. Mind you, it is 6pm on a Friday night. The salon was already closing but Ricky tells her he will stay to help me. After three hours of hard work Ricky managed to do the impossible: he got me the color I expected to have by the end of the day and my hair does not look like it’s fried. I can honestly say that English is my new salon. Not planning to go anywhere else. He saved me from losing my hair and managed to make me look great. Loved this place, love his energy, and honesty. If you are looking for genius stylist this is your guy!!

Hair Gods. Masters. Ricki gave me my cut, and I truly have never been happier with one. I feel like I have a new head of hair here! I thought I wanted to drag my stylists with me when I moved here, well now I never wanna leave Tucson and English Salon. There’s just so much I can say about this salon, from their professionalism and expertise to the atmosphere to their carbon-neutral, no waste enviro impact. Ask them about the construction materials they used in their space! They work as a total team here. The staff seem to be experts with curly hair, which I have. I am hooked.

Had a facial scheduled here and ended up waiting an hour past my appointment but Ricky was so kind and professional about the entire experience completely making up for wait. Got referred here by a friend, and I’ve got to say, this is the first place I’ve ever gotten a haircut that I REALLY like. I’ve never really known what exactly to do with my hair, so I got an appointment with the owner, Ricky, asked him if he had any ideas, and it took him maybe a minute tops to come up with the best haircut I’ve ever had. I come back maybe twice a month to get cleaned up and let him know if I’ve noticed any issues and he knows how to fix them. I even decided to try growing out a beard and he’s been very kind in offering honest feedback when I asked, and even some very helpful advice.
