I had such a great experience at this salon. Not only is the place nicely decorated, but the staff is amazing and very welcoming. Jade is a talented stylist, she listened to what I wanted and knew just how to achieve it. She was very attentive, checking my hair every few minutes to ensure it was not being damaged during the process. Definitely will be recommending this place.

I’d like to write a review in support of Briana to counter the terrible review from a different customer. I have long, fine, straight hair and finding someone who can do good, quality layers is not easy. I’d been to discount salons and their idea of ‘layers’ is cutting different lengths straight across. These are not quality layers that blend in and the day after you leave the salon, they look terrible. I was referred to Encore by a coworker as I was on the hunt for a stylist who could do layers like my old stylist could in Pasadena CA. I did my homework, however. As soon as I walked in the first time, I asked the front desk which of their stylists was good at long, strait, thin hair, AND at doing layers. I was immediately referred to Briana, so I trusted their judgment. I was not disappointed AT ALL. Briana is a master stylist (at least when it comes to long hair) and cut layers in my hair that lasted well over 6 months before needing a refresher. I had her do my hair before my wedding–those epic layers and some gorgeous highlights. My wedding stylist (in CA… someone who has worked ‘in the industry’) was really impressed by Briana’s work, so I’m pretty confident saying that if you have long, straight, fine hair, and you want some beautiful layers cut into your hair, Briana is the one for you. The price was spot on, too. A bit less than what I paid in So. Cal., which one would expect in this market. Anyway, I have had nothing but great cuts and service from Briana. Maybe short hair isn’t her thing. But long hair most certainly is!

Jade was not only very professional, but also very warm and hospitable. She knew exactly what to do with my hair and within my hair’s actual capability. I have not usually had pleasant experiences going to a salon, so for me to actually come across such a unicorn who gets me and my eternally brown hair…I am forever grateful and will be a continued patron. Took my wife here based on a recommendation. She has naturally curly hair with some natural bronze coloring and is very very picky about who she let’s touch it. She has gone here a couple of yes and really loves one of the stylists. Plus, very reasonably priced, which is a plus.

I just want to start by saying this salon is very cute, and nicely decorated. I am new to the Tri- Cities area and was very nervous to start trying a new hair stylist in FEAR that i would be ripped off. Briana Edwards did my hair and i honestly have NEVER paid that much money or sat for that long amount of time EVER.. my hair is short… I used to have long hair, down to my butt, and still i never sat almost 9 hours to get my hair done!!! SERIOUSLY?! i was extremely disappointed with how my hair came out. I wanted icey blonde hair.. even showed a couple reference pictures. but left with something completely different.. On top of that, my appointment was supposed to start at 12 and i sat there and waited for an hour.. i regret staying and should of walked out at the 15 minute mark. i was not happy i just SPENT 320 DOLLARS on hair i do not like. Wasted my TIME and MONEY. (no tip added) I Seriously paid more for this hair then i pay for my car payment/car insurance combined.. I feel like i was ripped off and taken advantaged of at this salon!! i will definitely take my business elsewhere next time to avoid being scammed !! i recommend whoever reads this to pay attention, ask questions.. i definitely learned my lesson where if a business is careless they will OVER CHARGE you. I was so angry/shocked with how much money i spent, i teared up when i got home.. Briana would not break down the charge or explain to me why it was 320 dollars for hair. My hair is very short, it shouldn’t of been 320 dollars. I was smacked in the face at the end at checkout with this fat amount of money… If i would of known i would be paying 320 dollars for a service i would of said HELL NO and found a more reasonable salon. Unbelievable, take your money and business elsewhere people. Dont get ripped off..
