I booked an appointment about 3 months ago. I wanted to get starter locs. On her website, it doesn’t say the specific price for starter locs. So when I messaged her asking if she wanted to see a photo of my hair for the price, she told me she’ll let me know the price in person. I was kind of skeptical about that because maybe I’m just used to knowing the price before I get my hair done. I got there 5 minutes early, and she was working on a person’s hair. She got done on time for when my appointment starts. But one thing that was very unprofessional is when she touched my hair after she got done touching another person’s hair. If there is one thing I know, always wash your hands after getting done touching another person’s hair! She blew out my hair, and after she went through my hair, she told me the price was 275?? My hair is 4c and short, kind of relaxed. I kindly rejected because of the price. She then charged me $20 for a consultation for which I NEVER asked for in the first place? I payed her either way, but never again will return here.

I went to her because half of my locks were broken off and missing. Straight up, my hair looked busted. I was so desperate for someone that knew how to do locs I was about to go all the way to Philly and going all they way to Philly was the LAST THING I wanted to want to do. Emperess did some straight up surgery on my locs by detaching the double locs to add length to my short ones. I can’t say how much better I felt after she did my hair. Thank goodness I found someone in the Valley that knows how to do my hair.
