I had a wonderful experience getting my hair braided at Emily’s!! They were very gentle and personable, the braiders were VERY professional and listened to what I asked and did it the exact way I asked!! The price is so low for the wonderful service and job they did with my hair!! Definitely will come back!!! Hairstyling, Box Braids

The atmosphere is so family oriented and peaceful. The price is reasonable. The staff is very professional. I had one problem and Emily resolved it with the upmost humble customer service I have ever received. I would refer anyone to her. This will be my braid location until she closes her doors. I pray that will never happen. Braids

I absolutely love getting my hair done by Emily & her team . No matter what hair style I ask for she kills it every single time . Emily also have my hair growing pretty & heathy . She don’t braid tight at all, & they will have you in & out .

If the owner Emily is not there… run! Without her… business is terrible and they don’t stand a chance. I was quoted a price, and when I arrived the price changed and they refused to do my hair for the price I was quoted. I spend over $250 every time I go to this shop so I was very disappointed and upset that they decided to run business that way without Emily being there! Ridiculous!

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityIm not sure how this place ended up with four stars. I assume some of her friends or family are making some of those reviews. Anyway, first impressions- the place was not clean and looked ran down . I should have left then, but I needed my hair done. They were the only shop that would take me at such a late notice. Two women started braiding my hair. They were not professional at all. Patricia was braiding the back and lady number two was braiding the front. When I sat down lady number two was taking down another customer hair. You can tell her hair had been in the style for a while and needed to be washed. Lady #2 stopped taking down the woman’s hair and immediately started on mine without washing her hands. She was heavy handed. I had to hold the root of each braid to keep her from pulling my hair ( which didn’t help). She kept trying to get me to move my hand, but I didn’t. I told her that she was hurting me (and I am NOT tender headed). She said sorry but continued to pull my hair. Her and Patricia started making jokes and laughing about the pain that I was in, and how they made a different customer scalp red and bleed. Patricia said the other customer kept saying that she was killing her, and they thought that was so funny. I heard Patricia say to lady #2 that she had messes up on my style. However, lady#2 didn’t know that I could see her reaction in the mirror. She made a face as to say “oh well”. When she saw that I had seen her she fixed it. Once Patricia was done with my hair she took a brush and cleaned the hair from the dirty smelly carpet. Then sat the brush onto one of the hair stations. When I asked how much my hair would cost lady#2 quickly answered $180. However, Emily replied at the same time $160. I will never go back there my braids are different sizes, lumpy, and painful. Fyi. I braid hair, but I wasn’t in the mood to do my own. There’s no need for someone to pull and twist your hair when attaching extensions.Service: BraidsIm not sure how this place ended up with four stars.
