Did exactly what I asked and was very gentle. When I first entered she had a cartoon movie for my kids . That was very thoughtful. I brought my two daughter’s in ages 10 and 4 for a braided style. I am completely in love with how it came out. The stylist was very professional. Did exactly what I asked and was very gentle. When I first entered she had a cartoon movie for my kids . That was very thoughtful. I haven’t had such good experiences with hair braiding salons in the area so I’m very happy to have found this one. Definitely gained a client.

I’ve been following the owner since I was very young, the only person I would ever trust to touch my hair. She’s very professional, attentive and takes great care of her customers. Recommend Emethyst Salon and Spa to everyone I know. She’s even done charity work for inner city low income families! Wouldn’t change my stylist for anyone else!!!

Been going to her for years. She is a wonderful hairstylist. I can trust her with taking care of my hair, she will not do anything harmful to my hair and she will never ever take it upon her self to cut off more than u ask.. (unlike other salons) Milly is more like and artist with her work. I refer everyone to her and they all end up becoming long time clients. She is very hard working and worth the wait.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Emethyst Salon for so many reasons!!! I have been going to this salon since it opened and love every minute of the experience! I work in Center City and paid a fortune at the so-called top salons –they–were a JOKE compared to the personal service, quality and experience of the EMETHYST owner! My hair was damaged and I searched for this owner because I saw people in supermarkets and malls who had gotten their hair done here. Guess what——years later—-MY hair is healthy, shiny and bouncing with beautiful color. I get complements EVERYWHERE I go and now I am recommending people.

If anyone has anything bad to say about Emethyst Hair Salon & Spa obviously it’s not true. I’ve been coming here for years & I wouldn’t change it for nothing. The customer service is great, the prices are affordable & I feel like I’m at home. I don’t come here every weekend for nothing. Also experienced for all types of hair.

Overall experience is good. The hairwashing is good stimulating your scalp. Nobody ever washed my hair so good. The blow dry and was excellent because it came out excellent and not once did she burn my scalp like other salons in the past. The price was a bit higher than I expected but maybe there was a miscommunication. If i can make a suggestion it would be a coffee machine with complimentary coffee. 5 stars because she did a great job andi will be back. Very precise and gentle on hair and thats something i can appreciate

So freaking ghetto it is actually unbelievable…. tabitha would shut this place down. No air conditioning in the summer and the only one worth going to see is the eybrow waxer, if she decides to come in that day it is. So hot inside, blasting spanish music when the only person who speaks it there is the owner, and it’s impossible to get any service done fast. Don’t waste your time here
