Critical: ProfessionalismI’ve been to Embellish before and have had amazing service, but when my friend and I went for our scheduled mani pedis yesterday we were told that only one of us could get a manicure. I completely understand that mistakes happen, but the woman at the front desk (I assume the manager or owner) offered us no apologies or explanations. Instead she just told us to choose which one of us would get the manicure. When we decided to leave instead, she told us that it was rude to cancel so last minute and that she “wasn’t going to argue with us”. I’ve been to Embellish before and have had amazing service, but when my friend and I went for our scheduled mani pedis yesterday we were told that only one of us could get a manicure. I completely understand that mistakes happen, but the woman at the front desk (I assume the manager or owner) offered us no apologies or explanations. Instead she just told us to choose which one of us would get the manicure. The first time I went, I just assumed she was having a bad day-wasn’t welcoming at all and I was made to feel like I was lucky to be there. The next time, I went in to get nails done with my sister (getting married)-the system was out a wack, and she was so frazzled and rude (continuously repeated that it was because we had made changes to the reservation). There were other rude things that occurred as well and there was ZERO flexibility. For example, my aunt signed up for a regular pedicure and a shellac manicure, and when she wanted to simply reverse these services (shellac pedicure) she was told no.People go get their nails done as a way to relax, as it’s a luxury service and we were made to feel like we were total inconveniences. Nail techs are awesome, but the front desk lady is a serious problem and will hurt business over time. The nail technicians are beyond nice. However, the lady at the front desk is extremely rude. The first time I went, I just assumed she was having a bad day-wasn’t welcoming at all and I was made to feel like I was lucky to be there. I have been going to this salon since it opened. I have had several technicians and all have been polite, friendly, and professional and provided great service. I hope when these hard times are over that those in the Bee Cave, Lakeway and around this area will come enjoy some great service as well as wine and m&ms and pamper yourselves with a lovely treatment. They are a great team there and Esther and other receptionists always greet you with a smile and ready to help you in anyway with a hot neck wrap, a refreshment or let you know about the latest adorable items they have in their cute boutique. I love buying their Gift Cards as they make great gifts. WE are LUCKY to have this great salon in our area! I have had several technicians and all have been polite, friendly, and professional and provided great service.
