I made my appointment, when I got there someone else was being serviced. I waited about an hour over my appointment time before it was my turn, which I really didn’t mind. I discussed my style over the phone, and once it was my turn. There’s a hair assessment questionnaire that I had to fill out, which I thought was interesting, and different from any other salon I’ve been to. The stylist was nice and welcoming. I started feeling uncomfortable once the style I wanted and what the stylist suggested wasn’t the same, or even in the ballpark as what I wanted. She offered 2 hair products for my hair that would help with dryness and hair growth. She explained how to prevent dryness, which was helpful. She then goes on to say that she didn’t want to cut my hair, but she could trim it, give me a treatment, and I could come back in a week or 2 for the color and cut if I really wanted a color and cut. She must have noticed that I was uncomfortable because she stated saying if you want it cut and colored I’ll do it. I didn’t get my hair done, I was just over it. It wasn’t a bad experience, it’s just not the salon for me. I think for someone with hair and scalp issues wanting to get their hair back healthy and growing, this would be the place to go, just don’t have your mind set on a style.

While I can’t speak badly on the studio as a whole I will say when you go here speak up!! If there is something you requested and you weren’t pleased with it don’t for the sake of the hairdresser say nothing but be honest and up front. I came in with a hair emergency because my stylist was unable to see me. I came with a picture of what I desires but when I left I left with a style I didn’t ask for and while I did see it before leaving it wasn’t til I got home that I saw it in detail and I let her know then. The pictures spoke for themselves but the first response to my comment was I WONT BE REFUNDING YOU THE MONEY FOR THIS STYLE! Sad thing is she was very proud of what she had done and saw no error in what had been provided. I think i would have been more open if she had let me know what I asked for couldn’t be done …instead I paid for a practice shot for 60 dollars and a tip I gave which is my norm. I not only had to go get my hair re cut that day to try and recreate something before i had my engagement but I also had to restyle the tracks to more of what I asked for … I paid to have to fix it myself and again I was open about it. Instead of being genuine and apologetic it was made seem as if my hair thinning was the cause of why I didn’t get what I asked for.
