Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI found Elizabeth Charle’s business card in the laundry room on my condominium. I am 79 with white thinning hair. A friend said I should dye it purple. I made an appointment and KNEW she was talented when I watched her blow dry another client’s hair. Elizabeth is a true professional. I LOVE the chair you sit in while she washes your hair. It is comfortable. Her studio is charming. The location is great and parking is in the underground garage. The best parking spot in Hermosa Beach. She started out slowly with the purple dye (Rinse?) which was the correct thing to do. Next time I will ask for more dye…of maybe not. I found Elizabeth Charle’s business card in the laundry room on my condominium. I am 79 with white thinning hair. A friend said I should dye it purple. I made an appointment and KNEW she was talented when I watched her blow dry another client’s hair. Elizabeth is a true professional. I LOVE the chair you sit in while she washes your hair. My former hairdresser stopped doing hair and it’s been a disaster trying to find a replacement. I have been following Elizabeth’s work for a little while and was impressed by what I saw. I reached out to her and booked an appointment. She gave me perfect instructions on where to find the place and how to gain access to the salon. From the moment we met, her friendly personality was shining through. She did an incredible job on my hair. She could see how yellow my hair was and how I had a terrible dark band of regrowth. She added some lowlights and blended the highlights so beautifully. I even mentioned how I used to have hot pink hair and missed it. And she said “I have a bunch of pink color!” So we added a subtle streak of pink underneath and I LOVE IT!She did a great job on my haircut as well. Her prices were very reasonable and I would highly recommend her. I already booked my next appointment. I found Elizabeth through Instagram and booked an appointment for highlights and a haircut. My former hairdresser stopped doing hair and it’s been a disaster trying to find a replacement. I have been following Elizabeth’s work for a little while and was impressed by what I saw. I reached out to her and booked an appointment. Elizabeth was great! Very personable and we had a great conversation during my appointment. She did exactly what I wanted (lighten, blend in blonde highlights to allow low maintenance roots) and was very reasonably priced compared to everywhere else I’ve been in the South Bay. I was used to having older people cut my hair and leaving unhappy with the haircut, so I was excited to see Elizabeth is in tune with more contemporary times! It made it possible for me to try a new hairstyle and switch things up.I’m a natural brunette with long, thin hair and wanted a layered look with curtain bangs. Elizabeth listened to my concerns (frizz, face shape, would this style look good on me?) and not only offered her expertise, but offered options to me to ensure I would be happy. For example, she discussed slightly changing the framing layers due to my round face shape which I appreciated. She also asked me about my hair part preference and even cut my hair in a way that I can switch it up if I want to. She goes over her process with you in real time so that you know what’s happening to your hair. That made me feel a lot better because we were able to discuss things in detail and achieve the look I want.As someone that’s struggled with bad haircuts for a long time, I cried when I saw the end result. It was exactly what I wanted and Elizabeth made the haircut look like it belonged on me. You know that awkward period where you need to wait for your haircut to grow on you? Nonexistent in this woman’s studio. She is both gifted and skilled! I loved it before she was even completely done. I also appreciated that she used texturing scissors instead of a razor for my ends. Her shampoo sink is the most comfortable sink I’ve ever leaned back on. I usually skip the shampoo because it kills my neck, but not at this location.Elizabeth was professional, and easy-going and casual at the same time. She was prompt with our 2:30 appointment time and was very communicative with directions, arrival procedures, etc. I plan on coming back for some fun color soon. I was used to having older people cut my hair and leaving unhappy with the haircut, so I was excited to see Elizabeth is in tune with more contemporary times!
