This place is awesome. It was recommended to me by another hair dresser who had recently retired. I got a Brazilian blowout by Elizabeth. The moment you enter the atmosphere it’s electric. There is music playing and even some spurts of dancing and singing. There was a little shop dog named Diego. However, I didn’t get photos of him since he was only a pup and I didn’t want to spook him, but he was adorable. Although the shop was busy, the workers stayed attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place and am even excited about my next appointment.

Cristina cut and styled my hair beautifully! She is obviously very talented and loves what she does. I was nervous to go to a new salon in Davis since I’d been going to someone in SF for the last ten years. I brought her a photo for inspiration and she absolutely killed it! She really took her time and checked in often to make sure we were on the same page. She asked insightful questions about the end result I wanted and really put me at ease. If I need another cut before I leave town I will definitely return to her. Also, Picasso Salon has good vibes overall – a place you could feel comfortable at for a few hours if needed.

This review is long overdue. Elizabeth & Sandra have colored, cut & styled my hair several times. They are experts, and I’ve looked & felt terrific every time I’ve been to Picasso’s. Back in April I had a friend’s wedding to attend and my regular stylist was unavailable and Elizabeth kindly fit me into her schedule and styled my hair beautifully!! I highly recommend Picasso’s!!!

I have gotten my haircuts from Moises, he is very attentive to detail and will give you what you ask for from fades to a more stylish long hair. I’ve honestly debated leaving a comment or not because I recognize that these reviews can have real impacts on businesses. I do not mean to slander nor burn bridges, but from my own experience (and from what I gather from other comments here) these stylists do not how to work with curly or non-straight hair. I encourage your salon to familiarize yourself with hair styles and types that do not fit conventional beauty standards. Being able to style my natural hair without opting to straighten it should be standard, period. I hope you take this as an opportunity to expand your skill sets beyond conventional beauties and embrace all types of hair. I do appreciate the stylist working with me through my frustrations.

I am so happy with this amazing salon and all the stylists and receptionists. They squeezed my daughter and I in last minute and did a beautiful job on both of us! My daughter’s hair was a disaster from other bad dye jobs, and they cleaned it up beautifully. I am so, so happy and their customer service is top of the line. I would highly recommend to others.
