Grant is a very personable Professional. I searched for a while to find someone that I could feel comfortable with. I am so happy that Grant is that Individual. I really appreciate Grant as a stylist and a person. He has done my hair for the past 3 years and his hair cuts and colors are beyond what other people have attempted. I always get complements on his cuts and especially colors. What I want to address however is how he attempts to accommodate people with particular problems like me. I recently was diagnosed with Cancer and Grant has researched what product I could use that would not be detrimental to my health and now uses it when I go for my appointments. I went into Elixir Salon attempting to get rid of the green dye job I had done a month earlier. My hair had been bleached and dyed green with low quality color and very little experience and was fading drastically. Grant and I decided to cover the green with vibrant plums and reds. After four hours of Grant working hard, the color came out beautifully and I left the salon very satisfied. However, due to the extensive dye damage to my hair previously, there were parts of my hair that did not take the red well and the blonde and green started to show through again. I contacted Grant and he immediately scheduled me to come back for a touch up. I made it back about a week later. I had to push back the appointment to the late evening and Grant was completely fine with that. When I finally made it to the salon, he had been patiently waiting for me due to his previous client finishing earlier than he expected. He never called me to see if I could come in early either. He touched up my color, made great conversation, and charged me absolutely nothing. Lastly, because I was the last client of the day and it was dark outside, Granted waited outside with me until my sister arrived to pick me up. At the end of the day, it wasn’t about the color job he did in my hair (which turned out amazing), it was about his customer service from the first time I talked to him on the phone all the way until my sister picked me up outside his salon. It is because of this that I will absolutely return to Elixir Salon.

Got 15 inches of hair cut off. My biggest worry always is I am going to turn out looking like a 15 year old boy. Being a 30 year old women that is the last thing I want to look like. Ended up loving the final cut but the experience is what I’m here to comment on. Showed a picture of what I wanted, he went to work, checked in with me several times to ensure we were heading in the right direction. I’m so used to paying double for a far less experienced salon.

My dad and I have been going to Elixir for the last year, but my dad and I have been with Phyllis since I was 2 years old (about 24 years) going everywhere. She is down to earth and has a sweet personality. We went from places to places with her before settling down at Elixir when it was on Indiana close to my workplace on Fridays and now it’s closer to my dad’s workplace, so we usually go in on Tuesdays now. The studio is nice and the building is looking really nice.
