Had a very uncomfortable experience today. I noticed after my nails had dried that there was some debris that had landed and dried underneath the polish. I knew that this would distract me for the next two weeks so I politely asked if she could fix (since I’m paying full price) and her response was “are you really gonna notice that!??” I’ve never been treated like this before it any nail salon! After I paid she shook her head and said “I yi yi” as I was leaving. I even left her a tip! So uncomfortable & unprofessional. Also I was the only customer there. They were not busy so clearly she wasn’t in the mood to serve me at 10 o’clock that morning.

I’ve frequent this nail salon often and it’s very off putting that every time I enter the salon, the manager/owner always tells me that they don’t do long nails. I never have asked for or wanted long nails, but that’s always the response before a greeting. I began to wonder is it because I’m a younger looking black female. I started to observe her interactions with others as they entered the salon. Not once were the other, white, middle aged females told the same thing. It’s extremely stereotypical to think that all black women want long nails and to proceed to say, “We don’t do long nails.” That’s fine if you don’t, but there’s a way it can be said something it doesn’t sound so rude.

Don’t go here. I spent way to much money to come out with a hacked up job. I literally told her Not to worry about design and left. I did a dip. She placed my entire finger in the Jar of powder. Which is very unsanitary. She should be using a brush. I tried to communicate with her on what I wanted but she acted like she couldn’t do anything. And made jokes about how I wasn’t happy with the work throughout the entire visit. Whole entire experience was awful. ****EDITED TO ADD I WENT TO STORE AFTER “THE OWNERS REPLY ON MY REVIEW” SHE CLAIMS SHE DID NOT WRITE THE REPLY! THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL JOKE.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy sister and I called the day of to make an appointment at 12pm for pedicures and manicures with powder dipped nails. They were very busy when we arrived, but everyone was working hard to make sure they could accommodate everyone that was there. They had several people walk in while we were there and they quickly informed them there was a wait, and it would be best to come back at a later time. Everyone was very understanding except for one extremely rude client, who was very demeaning to the staff and left. The only thing she accomplished was making herself look ridiculous. The staff handled the situation well, and were all a joy to be around. Tracy was fabulous and extremely friendly. My sister and I called the day of to make an appointment at 12pm for pedicures and manicures with powder dipped nails. They were very busy when we arrived, but everyone was working hard to make sure they could accommodate everyone that was there. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueWent today for a manicure, ended up not being an awesome manicure but that’s NOT the issue i have with this place of business. My total came up to $40 my card was ran & i left no tip because the service was mediocre (i shouldn’t have to explain that) but anyways, by the time i get to my car my card has been ran for $48. As i went back in to ask why, she told me that was my bank that did that & if it didn’t come off in a few days i could return to get my money back. It’s the PRINCIPLE of the matter! no establishment should do that ever. My total came up to $40 my card was ran & i left no tip because the service was mediocre (i shouldn’t have to explain that) but anyways, by the time i get to my car my card has been ran for $48. This place is very nice, well kept, and the staff there are wonderful! I walked in and was greeted right away with a warm welcome, and was seated right away. I needed 3 nails fixed and they hooked me up in no time with a beautiful set of nail and the most options in nail polish. Will go back again.
