Critical: Professionalism, QualityI had a cut, deep condition, and blow dry with Kim. When we started I told her how I style my hair straight though is naturally curly, where I part my hair, how I like my cut all entirely one length and how short I want it. I visually showed her my ideal length.The wash was fine, different than other deep conditions I’ve had but wasn’t going to complain about it. When she started cutting the back I couldn’t see how much she was cutting off. When I could tell I asked if we could take more off “if it wasn’t a hassle”. I could hear the hesitance in her voice and that she didn’t want to go back over what she has already done. There were multiple times I felt she did not want me there. Her mask kept falling down and then she finally told me she couldn’t wear it though posted at the front door was a sign saying masks were required. So I assumed that was for the owner too.She had my hair parted down the middle which I had showed her how I part my hair so when she cut my entire head like that I was confused because she also knew I asked for it to be all one length. Today when I styled it it is different lengths because it was parted in the middle. I have never had a hairdresser not ask my where I part my hair or to check in with me during the cut. Another issue I didn’t realize until after was she did not brush the hair over my ears out so on both sides those locks of hair are much longer. That’s the part I’ve pictured. Again, I’ve never had a hairdresser miss this.When I get my hair blow dried I’ve always been asked preferences and how I’d like it. She just went in and did her own thing, never checking in with me. It felt like she disregarded everything I had said and felt she knew how I wanted my hair better than I did. It felt unprofessional at multiple times.
