My personal experience with Elegant Nails was perfect. I walked in, and a lady immediately approached me asking me how she could help me today. I asked for my SNS nails to be removed and replaced with ombré acrylic nails, and she instructed me to sit down at a station where I was met by my nail technician, Howie. This was the first encounter I had ever had with him, but he presented himself kindly and asked me all the correct questions up front (what color, what shape, how long). I answered them all and he began to work. He engaged with me just as much or just as little as I was willing to engage with him. His personality was lighthearted and funny. I told him that I was getting my nails done for my best friend’s wedding this weekend, and he went the extra mile in making them look perfect (as seen in the pictures). I deeply appreciate how patient and precise he was. Overall, my experience was extremely pleasant, and I would highly recommend.

Critical: QualityMy nails are lumpy, and after 3 days one is coming off and it’s incredibly painful. And the designs are so sloppy. The lady that did my nails completely ignored my wants on shape and what I wanted. She didn’t even cut my nails before she applied the fake nails. I have frequented this business on several occasions. Tom is fantastic! Always pleasant and does wonderful work on nails! I’ve had 2 negative experiences the last 2 times I have gone. The first one was when I came to get a mani and pedi for the holidays. The woman that did my pedicure, Ivanka, was having a bad day and got irritated with me when I began to show her the different colors I wanted to use. She walked away a few times as I was showing her and ignored what I said. So, when she came back, I politely began to ask if she could show me which color she could do to match the toes to the nails. I think the language barrier made it difficult, but I was being patient, as I teach English. I understand it happens. That did not bother me. She was a bit rough with my feet, out of frustration it seemed, but I didn’t say anything. I was disappointed that this was intended to be a Mommy Time to relax for a bit. She did apologize and I apologized if I had offended her when I had difficulty communicating with her. We remained friendly, and moved on. My toes looked great! I was there for 4 hours and got a basic, classic manicure and pedicure with no special additions. I decided to give it another try. I came in for a manicure and pedicure. Again, just basic. I didn’t need any extras. I was helped by the same person. Toes look great! She asked me if I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed. I said no, that’s ok. She continued to ask me about it so I said, sure, and figured it was just a small extra. No problem. When I went in there, she did my eyebrows, which was great. She put wax on my entire face, although I did not ask for that. She said it’s $35. I was not expecting that and at that point, I was up to $75. Two hours after arriving, I had my toes done and my entire face waxed even though I only had light hairs you cannot really see on my face. Oil was rubbed all in my scalp and my once clean hair was now greasy and I had places to go after that. Instead of having light hairs on my face, I now have red inflamed patches from pulling the hot wax off. I went in to work the next day with these huge red patches. Not to mention, my nails look really bad right before an important event and I had to forgo my plans for dinner because my hair was very greasy. Dry shampoo didn’t help. I had to shower and scrub my hair to get the oils and leftover wax out of my hair. I left much less relaxed $75 later than when I came in. I think it would be best to not try to push the upselling of other services when a customer says no thank you.

Today was the worse experience I’ve had yet! I had black nails before I changed to the red today. The man that did my nails was extremely rude. He left black spots all over my nails an decided to paint red over them! When I said something he said it happens, it’s fine, I said no sir, if u take the time to get the paint off no black will be left to show threw the red. It offended him an he huffed an got mad to the point that the man next to us said Charley 3x to clam him down before someone else took over, the man only charged me $20, but I tipped him $40.. but my nails are still not great! Black is still showing an 2 of my tips is crooked!
