I went there for a pedicure. The woman tried to remove my gel polish with a dremel tool. I told her she was hitting my skin with it, and that it hurt, and that she should use a file instead. She wouldn’t or couldn’t figure out how to remove my polish without that darn drill. So I left. Ridiculous! Pedicure

After reading reviews I was a bit hesitant about going. I had a great pedicure & gel manicure, by the gentleman there. On top of doing an excellent job, the price was an amazing value!!! The neighborhood isn’t your typical posh Sarasota area, there were a few homeless people hanging on the corner of the plaza. But if your going during the daytime hours, you are very safe in this area and they don’t bother you at the salon. Don’t let the area deter you from going and getting a great mani-pedi. The salon is nothing fancy, so if your looking for a spa like retreat this isn’t the place for you. But if your looking for a great mani-pedi and at the best price in town, this is your place!

I went to elegant nails today to have a fill-in and mind you I was there two weeks ago to get the initial nails done when you first walk in the guy that sits at that first stool that’s doing the pedicure has the ugliest meanest unfriendliest look I’ve ever seen in a place . They need some customer service improvement they don’t smile they don’t talk well I shouldn’t say they that guy didn’t smile didn’t talk but when I asked if he owned the place he just gave me a flat no I said who own it he said.. someone that has another shop on University he was reluctant and did not give me the name of the owner they are very unfriendly and they need some customer service skills because that guy has none.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I’VE HAD IN A NAIL SALON!! JUST RUDE, RUDE, RUDE! The woman started doing my full set but seemed like she was rushing because her customer was almost done with her pedicure. I told her I would wait for her to finish the other lady because I didn’t want her to rush and she got an attitude with me. As she did the first nail I could tell it was too thick, so I asked if it was going to be that thick, and she got an attitude and started to take them off roughly. I GOT UP AND LEFT. HORRIBLE! They don’t even deserve the one star.

I went to Elegant Nails for the first time almost 2 weeks ago. There was no other client in the room. I was assigned someone to do a pedicure and was starting the treatment. Then another woman walked in and requested the tech I had so she dropped me and took that client and another girl came from the back room to take over. This ‘new’ girl was very quick and flippant in her moves. Perhaps she wasn’t happy to be doing her job? Anyway she used a tool that looked like a cheese grater with a handle, and ended up cutting my little toe. I just smiled and said it’s okay it will heal. She had a difficult time to stop the bleeding and put a bandaid on it. It was only later that I discovered how bad that cut was! She took a chunk out of the side of my toe and 2 weeks later it is still sore even with putting peroxide and Neosporin on it. I can’t wear a shoe at all. Flipflops can be my only footwear. I am worried about it not healing and have made an appointment to see my doctor. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not only because they made me … a first time customer… feel very unimportant but mostly of course because of the damage they did.
