I went to this nail salon to have my acrylic nails removed and to get a classic manicure. If I would have known she was going to rip my acrylic nails off using another fake nail I would have done that myself at home! Not only is it very unsanitary and bad for your nail beds, but it was so painful I was grasping onto the table and almost crying. Most nail salons will soak your fingers and drill the excess off. Then she charged me $10 dollars for what took her less than 2 minutes. For being licensed you would think that they know better. I am a licensed cosmetologist! I wanted a regular classic manicure because I like the whole process of getting my fingers soaked and how relaxing it’s supposed to be rather than what they call a dry manicure. she said because of how weak my nails are I had to do gel which was an extra $15. I understand it strengthens your nails but my nails wouldn’t have been so flimsy if you didn’t just rip half my nail beds off. There were cracks in my actual nails and they keep breaking because of it. She rushed through my whole gel manicure and the “massage” she gave me at the end was at no means relaxing! It hurt!

Went in for manicure was taken to the chair to pick color and then the manicurist took the next person who walked in. Left me sitting there didn’t say a word just started working on the customer who came in after me, who didn’t have an appointment. Finally after a few minutes a different manicurist told me that the manicurist who had seated me was working on the person who came in after me and she would be back to me after that. 1st and last time I ever come here. The nail tech was very rude. I told her I wanted 3 dips in the dip and she immediately rolled her eyes and said it’s never done like this. I got 3 dips with her very mad, rolling her eyes several times. This was on 6-22. Last night 1 nail broke off while washing my hair, this morning another one popped off after if was stuck in my hair. I almost didn’t get the hair out from under the nail. I tried many times to start a conversation but she just looked at me and smiled. I asked for a manicure with the dip, she never soaked my fingers, she didn’t cut my cuticles until after the nails were done aand she used the drill and every finger was bleeding at my cuticles lines. I wish I could add pics. This was a horrible experience.

So I normally go to POSH nails on central avenue every other Saturday. Well this Saturday I’m particular I had an concert later that evening to atttend so I tried to get my normal appointment but couldn’t get anyone on the line due to it being an power outage so I then searched Google for an mail shop not on central avenue and found “elegant nails”. Prior to me going to Elegant my nails were healthy and a nice length I only get dip which I go to the nail shop every two weeks and get a dip and a pedi. So I know the routine I know the steps on the dip and all that l. The nail tech at elegant nails for one wAs rude. Two she messed my nails up the very next day on Sunday my nails had cracks going through them and my thumb had started to chip off due to the cracks. I called them the nail tech that did it picks up the phone being rude demanding me to come back that Sunday when I’ve told them I drive 30 min away to come to them.so when I finally make it back the other mail tech JACK re does my DIP doing the same exact thing that the other tech did low and behold all my nails have cracked and to no return I have to cut all my nails and I’m very upset about it but do not I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE YOUR BUSINESS ISNT APPRECIATED

They seem to know several customers already there, which shows me either repeat business or they are building rapport with customers. They got me right in even though it was late and a last minute drop in. They seem to know several customers already there, which shows me either repeat business or they are building rapport with customers. They were following social distancing guidelines, requiring masks, requiring hand sanitizer; but were friendly about it, not pushy. Did a great job on my nails and nice and professional. Visiting and my granny took me and my girls for a girls day. My toes looked and felt amazing after the pedicure. My young girls loved their painted nails. The employees were super sweet to.

I went to get a fill in here and the girl was talking to her coworkers while doing my nails and while not paying attention, the motorized file tool cut into my nail bed. It hurt and even bled. While finishing the nails, I was in pain from the polish and chemicals getting into the cut. She just said she was sorry. I wasn’t even given a discount. This wasn’t the first time something like this happened. The same girl cut a deep slice into my cuticle the last time I went there and it was the same story. Also had to pay full price. I’ll never give them another chance after this.
