NEW CUSTOMERS. FIND ANOTHER TANNING SALON. Unfortunately, I went there to try them out as a new customer. I was looking for a high pressure bed which is level 5 stand up, but they only had a 3 level stand up. So on my way out I thought I would upgrade into a package and utilize it when I’m in the area. The receptionist was charging me separate at full price and not including the single I just paid for as my session 1, WHAT??? They could have immediately increased my spending by a $115. And all of my years of tanning, this is the 1st salon that took that approach. Several times in the past they always try to get you to upgrade to a package walking out the 1st time As an incentive for the new customer and then of course to their benefit. Any tanning person is a die heart customer and I am shocked. I told the receptionist that I would be leaving a bad review and she said that’s OK. As a business owner myself, I can’t believe that that’s how it played out. At my business, we do everything to make sure that customers are happy especially new customers when they have so many options nowadays. Totally unacceptable. I’ve been going to this salon for years. Courteous, very kind & well informed staff. With my busy work schedule I wouldn’t normally have the time to tan but because they’re open 7 days a week, holidays and until 6:00pm on the weekend is a big plus for me. I highly recommend Electric Beach Tanning Studio in Berkeley Heights.

I love electric beach in berkeley heights. I used to tan regularly, but peer pressure made me stop. now I tan for “events” where i want to brighten up my look. the facility is kept immaculately clean ~ the beds are always in tip top shape and the staff is really really pleasant and well informed. It’s a great place to tan…if it’s your thing…I highly recommend Electric Beach in BH!

Went here for a spray tan a couple times, girls are so nice and helpful and the color of the spray tan is a nice brown color not orange at all. The only thing is you really have to keep it on for a long time before showering since the color seems to wash off easily but the longer you keep it on the better it stays. I highly recommend this spray booth if you are going to prom or a wedding very nice and natural looking color

I went to this location twice. The first time the lady at the front counter was advising on the different options for their beds and asked if I was tanning previous. I advised that I was not able to get to the salon that I normally go to and was ONLY going for 3 days as a fill in due to my work schedule. She immediately said there is a state law for tanning 1 time within 24 hours. NO KIDDING! I paid $30 for 7 minutes as she insisted that I was only able to go that long. It was a waste. I go back the next day and she asked my name, I give it to her, she said how was the 7 minutes I said it was a waste. She started to explain how you only get base tan for the first 3 sessions. I said…like I had said last time I was here I have previously been tanning. With an attitude she says “Well its a 15 minute bed, how long do you want to go in then” I asked for 10 minutes. She set me up, I tanned and walked out. COMPLETELY RUDE!!!! I will never be back and will be sure not to recommend this place.

This tanning salon is a wonderful place. I got a great tan here and they have the top end beds here! The packages are a reasonable price and they take their time to go over everything with you! def. go there it is very clean too!

Punctuality is very important for any business, we all have emergencies or delays here and there, but also, we all have schedules to meet. Even though I am not year around customer, it happened to me twice, showing up at 9 am and waited for over 30 minutes in the car until I see the person in charge to be there to open. Five stars for equipment and customer service.

The older lady there is a rude nut job! I’m CERTAIN that many customers have been turned off by her. I won’t renew or redo ANY Tanning sessions there,EVER again, and I’ve been going there since it opened.
