Nice tanning Salon, Only issue is for couple weeks there hasn’t been any five star beds working or available & very few four star beds which I think if you have paid to be able to tan in those beds & they aren’t available you should be given some type of discount! I paid for that & was unable to hardly use those beds the entire month & when I was due for my payment those beds still weren’t available top that off because those beds aren’t available it makes the wait to tan much longer sometimes I have had to wait 30mins to tan in a low level bed or if I did get that opportunity to tan in a 4star bed bulbs would be out or something would be broken which I think is a problem when as a customer your paying for service that they are unable to offer all month long that’s a BIG PROBLEM! You cannot charge people for services that affect available for a month or longer not just one or two days & bulbs being out effects how well your beds work so that should also be discounted if we get into a bed that’s got multiple bulbs out not just one bulb multiple!!! Other than that I never had any issues I loved tanning there!! The electric beach by Gabe’s they always had bulbs out that’s why I changed to river walk and then they didn’t have beds or bulbs

Jennifer is the best! I had a problem with a laptop that took anunusual amount of time to work out. I had already spoken with the national number twice for more than two hours. She handled it in under 20 min with a smile and laugh!!!

I love this place! It’s the best electric beach in my opinion. The beds are better, the staff is friendlier. I like kanawha city too but I won’t go there because the beds are only 15 minutes and I like 20. I travel from Belle just to lay at south Charleston’s electric beach. It’s just worth it to me because the outcome of the tan from their beds is better. Bulbs are always new, the staff always knows my favorite beds to lay in…anyone who has had a bad experience didn’t give it the full chance it deserves because it really is a great place to tan and very well staffed…clean beds! I have no complaints and I’ve been tanning there since like 2008….I’ve tried numerous tanning salons and this is my fave…planet tan was my fave back in day but this is even better then them…I work retail so I understand people could have a bad day and come off rude and I def understand being busy so to those who have complaints over the staff try to understand how busy they can be or if they seemed rude maybe their day was bad that day…them girls really are awesome there….best place to tan and def friendly! To the ones who complain you have obviously never worked with the public because they can’t help if a bed goes down….I understand having packages your paying for and don’t like wasting your money to something you can’t even use but it’s called patience my friend! It’s a virtue!

Critical: ProfessionalismI was charged a $10 non-payment fee and told my card couldn’t cover the membership fee.I was told I couldn’t tan unless I paid it.I insisted that they had something wrong but was turned away without them looking into it and told to call my bank. I called my bank and found out that the employee put my credit card expiration date in wrong. I called the owner the next morning and she was very rude and said I was “lucky that she even took the fees off” and she “could’ve left them on my account” when I told her that I wanted the extra day I lost or a higher level bed the next time I came in because I had to have someone watch my kids the day before plus the time I wasted driving there and back for nothing. Finally she begrudgingly gave me 10 extra points, I laughed and said “fine bye” And she just hung up on me! Horrible customer service by the OWNER, Kristy at this place, I am appalled at how this situation was handled and how I was treated. I will not be continuing my membership here for sure! Better off paying $19.99/ month at Planet fitness to work out AND tan! First time customer.. Last time customer. From the rude girl working who wanted to over talk me, interrupt me and obviously did not want to sell anything..every question I asked was answered with a negative response, not to mention her sarcastic tone to the wasted money I spent I am not a satisfied customer. Went in for a spray tan, asked for dark, was told no because their dark was darker than everywhere else and so was their medium. I was put in for medium after specifically requesting dark again. She said because their medium was darker due to they set their filters differently she set it at medium. (I thought I was the one who decided what level I wanted?!?) It’s NOT. I spent almost $40 for something I can barely tell I even got. I’ve been in Versa’s from here to Clearwater Beach and this is not what I asked for nor is it anywhere near what it should be even for a medium. And again, I asked for dark, what I got is a very very light bronzing. Very disappointed and as I said, first and last time going here.
