Never had a worse experience. Jillian is incredibly unprofessional. Booked an appointment and she scheduled others during that same time. I showed up and she was unapologetic and did not care about customer service whatsoever. And it is completely false that anyone thought I cancelled an appointment. Very disrespectful salon and owner.

I seen MISS RUBY ABBOTT for my first appt ever at Elate Salon. I was nervous because I have had new salons in the past mess up my color. But I read all her reviews and looked at her pictures online and we talked on the phone for around 20 minutes. She also scheduled me on a Sunday and she came in on her day off just to do my hair. I needed my roots done.. FULL head of foils..haircut..toner..olaplex treatment..upper lip waxing.. Eyebrow waxing..blow dry and style and my total came out to only $197 after 30 percent off coupon I found on her Yelp page for new clients only. She was very nice and down to earth yet professional and listened to me and looked at my pictures I liked on pinterest and she wasn’t in a rush like most times I get my hair done. The only thing I didn’t like were the lack of products available to buy and the bottles of Pureology Shampoo and Conditioner available for sale were priced way too high. I’ve been to Cosmoprof and Marshalls just to name 2 supply stores and I see how much those lines really cost so even though I am a product junkie I ended up leaving without any products. I did leave with the best haircut I’ve had in a very, very long time. My hair also felt wonderful and looked so healthy for days. The color I am trying to achieve.. Going from brassy blonde to a violet cool tone blonde is a process that is going to take several appointments which I completely understand so this is just after my first appt. I am happy enough to schedule my next appt for 5 weeks out with Miss Ruby Abbott who rents a chair out of Elate Salon. She used to work at Zanos Salon in Lisle where I also used to go so her low prices really made me happy because I thought she would charge more along the lines of Zanos pricing but she didn’t. I felt her passion for my hair and I can tell she just has that natural talent that is very rare and hard to find these days. She knows what she is doing. I have been to every high class salon in DuPage and Will County. I was previously seeing Liz at Mint Salon in Lockport but being rushed and getting a terrible haircut that I paid 60 dollars for from the owner of the salon was the push I needed to contact RUBY ABBOTT at ELATE SALON. I called her cell.. She answered immediately and was able to fit me in within 72 hours coming in on her day off which most colorists wouldn’t dream of coming in on a Monday or their day off or staying a little late to make sure you are happy. Ruby does though and that’s why I highly recommend you text or call her cell. She responds to both. Another bonus..she puts on Pandora music app to the music station or genre YOU THE CLIENT PREFERS. Whatever you want to hear… she makes it happen. Never had a stylist/colorist do that for me either. Thanks RUBY ABBOTT at ELATE!!!! See you in January!!!
