Effi is such an amazing hairstylist and can cut hair so people come up to me to ask where I got my hair done. For probably 15 years she cut and colored my hair when I lived in Westport, and then I moved to Northern NJ five years ago … and I still drive back every 5-6 weeks to get her to cut my hair. The staff (like Siegried and Dana) are lovely and friendly too. You’ll get THE best haircut at Effi’s!

I LOVE EFFI’S!! I found this place after getting off at Exit 17 instead of Exit 18. I had moved back to the area and I was desparate (and scared) to find another hairdresser. I felt like I was meant to find Effi’s by getting off at the wrong exit. This is a fun, cozy salon. I talked to the receptionist ( shout out to Dana) about the type of haircut I already had and she recommended the hairstylist based on that info. Jill is fab and couldn’t have been more perfect for me! I get color done and a cut and it’s about what I expected to pay anywhere in the country, which is so great. (I assumed I was coming back to Fairfield County prices.)

HORRIFIC experience. I wish I could give something less than one star. My sister got a gift certificate for her birthday that she tried to use for her prom. She has waist-length thick hair. The “stylist” used a curling iron and spritzed it a few times with spray. That is it. No exaggeration, that is all that was done. They charged her $200 which was the full amount of the certificate plus $25 for tip. My sister was so upset she tried talking to effi the owner who basically laughed in her face and did absolutely nothing. My sister was in tears by the time she got home – there was not one single curl left in her hair. My mother and I spent an hour fixing the disaster they’d created and while I think she ended up looking lovely (SOLELY because of my mother and I), she was late for her prom. There have to be 100 salons in Westport alone. If you’re willing to spend that kind of money, there are far better places. I certainly wouldn’t risk it.
