First time I went here I got one of the best hair cuts I’ve ever had and I was very excited to go back. After my second visit I personally will never return. The same lady cut my hair, she is very thorough and takes the time with each cut. Baby powder, hot towel the whole 9. The problem is, none of that matters if she doesn’t listen to your requests. She cut my hair how she thinks it should look and not how I requested. Very strange experience. Walked in and asked for a trim above the ears, a squared off back and about half my bangs taken off. Walked out with a buzz cut. At one point I asked her not to cut any shorter and she literally argued with me and cut my hair shorter. Most of the reviews are good and my first cut was great because she cut it exactly how I asked. But my second experience was such a turn off. I really want a regular barber and was hoping this would be it. I will keep looking and wish this place the best.

I got very nervous when she cut a straight line across my forehead already shorter than what I asked for. I reiterated again “I only want it out of my eyes, I like having length to style with” before I knew it my long healthy hair that I enjoyed styling was a tight professional looking haircut.

Sign says they open at 9. It’s 9:37, not open and no one answers the phone. I understand businesses have to change hours because of COVID but UPDATE your sign on your door.

After moving to this area, I was in search of someone who didn’t butcher a low/medium fade. After trying TGIFs, Sports Cuts and all the others in the surrounding area, I stumbled upon this gem. She gives better haircuts (great attention to detail, spends time, even if there is a line), is cheaper, and gives the hot towel treatment at the end. Best hair cutting experience I’ve had. I’ve been going back since I found it and will continue to do so.

Loved it! Have been looking for a new barber in the area. Tried a couple places before finding this place. 3rd time is a charm they say! The woman knows what shes doing and does it efficiently. 5 stars. Will be going back. I recommend to anyone looking for a fairly priced hair cut.

Ken is the best! Great cut at a great price! He cares about his customers and does a fantastic job. I don’t need those fancy barbershops, full of girls and liquid refreshment. If you want a nice old-fashioned cut, Ken is the man for you. He is conveniently located in Edgewood. Just look for the Old Fashioned Barber Pole outside his shop on Meridian south of Columbia Bank. He’s closed on Sundays and Mondays, but open until 6 p.m. most days. He is worth the trip. The son of a barber, Ken rocks! Thanks for making me look good for the Fourth of July weekend. BDLP
