Edge Aveda Men is a barber concept salon for men and women founded in 2016. The five-chair salon is a nod to the past, with the chairs situated next to the shampoo bowls to reduce transitions, hot towels for relaxation, and a really dang good haircut and conversation. We are excited to announce that as of November 5th, 2022, we added our long awaited EXPANSION with an attached entrance directly from Edge Aveda Men! We offer many additional services at Edge Salon & Wellness including an additional 5 salon stations (with tilt bowls at each station) geared for men and women! We are using the Aveda and Goldwell color lines, while also offering facials, hydrafacials, full body waxing, infrared sauna, massage therapy, and soon even more!

This is the 3rd time my stylist has changed without notice. I really like Kayla who took her time and made sure my cut was just right. Very good. Unfortunately when I made my follow up it wasn’t with her. I had a new person without notice. She came from the new spa area at 11:00 to do my cut. She went very quick and didn’t seem to understand what I wanted. She even had it styled completely different. At 11:12 I had a receipt for my cut. The gentleman next to me sat down before me and was still there when I left. Dawn appeared more interested in getting back to the other side of the store to talk with her friends than cut my hair. Probably wont be going back even though its close to home. I will have to go somewhere else this week to get my hair fixed as the cut was pretty bad.

Over the years I have taken my two sons numerous places without much success. My eldest has very thick coarse hair and my other son has thick curly hair. Both are teens experimenting with their hair. We have been going to Edge Aveda for a couple years now and they both have been very happy. We live in Carrboro and it is well worth the drive!

Positive: QualityMy 16 ye old son and I were given a opportunity to check this place out as a gift from a neighbor in our community and I can’t begin to share all of the blessings and gratitude we felt from that visit but we were both overwhelmed with gratitude my son even left with tears in eyes because he said we’ve never met people like that they were so nice ❤. Heather and her husband and even their kids were there and what a pleasure it was to meet each one of them!! Heather, her husband and even her daughter asked us if we wanted anything to drink on multiple occasions that lil lady in training is definitely going to be a asset in our community as a adult but she does have some of the most genuine parents I have ever met teaching her so that’s not a surprise!! We went with one appointment for my son and they were even able to fit me in and give me some much needed pampering for the holidays. We were sent home with some goodies, muffins and some of our favorite peanut butter balls brought in by a regular customer who was also the gifted of my sons haircut I could write a book about our experience at this place it went over and beyond anything ever expected ! My son and I pulled up in our raggedy squealing car walking in full of shame and embarrassment feeling completely out of place and we left feeling like royalty full of gratitude, emotions,love and astonishment!! I look forward to visiting this place as often as possible even if its just to stop in and say hello. And to Heather, her family and staff thank you from the bottom of my heart for what a pleasant experience you guys gave us!! Christian and I both were blown away not only by the service but the love, care, and acceptance we genuinely felt when we left!! We hope u all had a blessed Christmas and a happy new year as we are truly blessed for having the opportunity to meet each and everyone of you!!!! I have jumped through so many people cutting my hair. Every time, I get a haircut I either get a good fade and sacrifice the style on top or the opposite, the top is good but the fade is so so. Today I found my hair savior, Becky Remington. She listed to what I wanted, looked at photos I showed her of my ideal style, and constantly stopped to make sure I was ok with what she was doing. She did so well that I rescheduled on the spot. Thanks Becky, you did great!

This is my second time to be in this location. The sign cater to men but also they cater to women. The service is excellent. When you first enter the salon, the staff are all welcoming, especially Heather:) They offer you beverages and they’re accommodating. Dawn, one of the hairstylists did my hair and she’s amazing. She listen to what style and hair color I like, and she deliver it exactly what I like for my hair. All I can say to this location is superb service. 5 star out of 5. If there is 10 star, I will give them that. I encourage all women to check this salon. The salon not only for men, but also for women. I encourage all women to give them a try. Thank you very much! I’d like to update my review: I was wrong. It was a very emotional spur of the moment thing. No, they were not responsible for my bad haircut. I was just very emotional because of a lot of different circumstances and took the cheap way out. I’d like to apologize to the owners and the barbers, especially the barber who cut my hair. Was not her fault, and they just had to work with what I had. Honestly, it is a good place to get your hair cut. I do recommend it. Again, I’m very sorry

I went today after I had strayed from my norm and gotten a one-off haircut from a friend who seriously messed up my hair, but she managed to make it look even better than normal and made me enjoy my hair style again. I’m super picky about getting my haircut, but I sincerely trust this place to get me right every time.
