I want to preface this by saying that the employees are very warm and friendly, however, with that being said they absolutely BOTCHED my hair. I came in asking for layers, and left with a very choppy haircut that looked like a DIY gone wrong -pictures included for reference. I came back to have a different stylist fix it, and although she did a better job at evening it out in the back, from the front its giving coconut head. It’s not so bad when I style it -I can hide the mistakes, but I can no longer wear it natural… its horrendous. I feel bad leaving this review as I am a huge advocate for supporting local businesses, but there is no denying that my hair is unsatisfactory (bad) and will take months to grow back out.

Update: I’ve been going to Eddie Jr’s Hair Salon regularly for a few months now and it’s a nice, clean & friendly place, Tita is my hairstylist and she is good! I was a regular customer here and always got a wash and set every time I came! My hair was a few inches under my shoulders so I would consider it to be long. I used to pay around $40/$45 for my wash and set and I would bring my own conditioner. The thing is I had my aunt cut my hair so it’s around my neck now. (Short hair) I went to get a wash and set on Sunday, same thing I bought my own conditioner but this time my hair is shorter. When it comes time to pay the lady charges me $50!! I’m like why $50? She says they charge “extra” for “Natural hair” and $10 to use the drier for my conditioner! They never said I had to pay $10 to use their drier for a conditioner treatment that I bought with me! Mind you, I was in the drier for ten min so I basically got charged $1/min. Also, I’ve always had natural hair and never had to pay extra for having natural hair. I paid the $40/$45 before because I was told my hair was longer but now that it’s shorter I get charged more because it’s natural??? Make it make sense!! Your prices shouldn’t change because of someone’s hair texture! It’s always been about length when it comes to wash and sets. I’ve never heard of a wash and set being priced by someone’s hair texture! NEVER in my 40 yrs of life!

If you are a black woman DO NOT COME HERE, the employees were extremely racist to me talking about my skin complexion and hair texture in spanish as if i couldn’t understand them. Then the lady that blow dried my hair charged me extra after she already told me a set price which was originally $25. Will not be coming back here. Blowdry

It’s nice, good atmosphere and nice workers. I just think the nail prices are just a bit overpriced. I paid $45 for someone who didn’t seem very experienced in nails to do my tips. And I wouldn’t mind if I wasn’t paying much but I just expected my nails to look better for almost $50. Other than that, the place has good service. They do eyebrows really nice too!

Eddie jr CERTAINLY did not learn from his father..he is impolite and very serious and unwelcoming as you enter his store, even though he knows you..he refuses to take Debit cards but wants cash and there is a ATM machine in his store that he wants you to use and claims it’s his.

This place USED TO BE my go to spot for 10+ years but the owner is impossibly petty and can care less about keeping customers happy. Called ahead and was told it wasnt busy yet still waited 25 minutes to get washed. They had no hot water so I was washed in ice cold water though I called ahead and they failed to mention the water issue at that time. Then was charged double for deep conditioner which I’ve always gotten there but was not told of the cost increase until it was time to pay. The extra $10 is not an issue for me, it’s just the all around poor experience. So done with this place.

They do a great job on your hair only issue is the over charge & when u need a hair net if u don’t have cash they won’t sell it to u so ur forced to leave the salon with your hair out even if you don’t want it to be. Been coming here for 3 yrs now & I can honestly say today is my last time coming.
