Critical: Quality, ValueOn my visit on February 13th 2020, I was a returning customer for my hair (full highlights and cut/style) and a new customer for an add on shellac manicure. I usually get my nails done by someone else and our schedules had not matched this month. During my manicure, I got the impression that my stylist maybe did not do nails frequently just from the experience overall but this was a bridge until I was able to get an appointment with my usual person in two weeks. On February 15th, 2020 while showing off my new shellac to a friend, she made a comment about my nails looking “different” than my usual. I was not able to see it at first since from far away the manicure looked fine but it did not take much to start seeing the imperfections. From past experiences, I have always had my nails painted all the way to include the end of the nail from side to side. WIn this particular case, the end of my nails did not get covered all the way (see photos attached for your own insight) which made me concerned as I felt it would be a weak point for premature chipping. Once I realized it, i treated the shellac manicure as a regular manicure since i started to notice microsplits along the tips. I contacted the salon on Monday February 17th to request a correction for the nails as well as my hair cut since it was uneven (noticed once that I washed my hair) and was notified that the salon had a 5 day return to correct their nails and therefore I had to make it back within the next 24hours. On Tuesday february 18th, I visited the salon with two concerns about the nails, the cosmetic look and the concerns with very premature chipping for a manicure that was less than a week old. After the stylist saw my nails, I was told they were “perfect” and nothing was wrong with them and that is how she has done the nails for her last 15 years. She took pictures of her work (not sure what for but either way here they are right after I stepped out from the salon on february 18th -5 day old shellac no chip manicure- with one photo of the first chip 10 minutes later as predicted while driving). Understanding from the comments that redoing the nails was not an option since they were nothing “wrong” with them, I suggested to at least get the end tips covered to prevent very early premature chipping for a manicure that should last up to 14 days. Feeling the negative aura that I was more of a hassle and I was definately wrong, I decided to eat the $37 dollar cost for a substandard job instead of been subjected to criticism from bringing my concerns about the quality of the service provided. My motto is to have consistent quality of care and that was not what I received from the services. Please be your own judge however I would not recommend to get your nails done in this salon. In regards of the hair, I did have to get it corrected as it was uneven and unfortunately did not compared to my first hair cut with the same stylist. Dennise was awesome! Best service ever. I would give her 6/5 stars if I could. From the moment my mom and I came in to the second we left we were treated so well and given the ultimate care. The receptionist offered us snacks for the five minute wait and the hair stylist did an AMAZING job. She went above and beyond to make it perfect. The results were better than I had hoped. She took her time to get every hair in the right place and hyped us up. She seemed to be an expert at her job and was very passionate too. I really enjoyed the experience as much as I enjoyed the results. I would go to her every time I need a hair cut. This place is a perfect example of what a top notch salon should be.

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI purchased a Groupon for this salon to give them a shot for the stylist named Denisse. I was super excited because the salon was clean and had a great ambiance. However after waiting 45 minutes with the stylist only coming out to see my once time after I had been waiting approximately 15-20 minutes, she said to me “Oh I was going to call you and tell you I’m running late with another person”. I’m not sure why someone would even mention they were going to call you to make you aware they would not see you for your scheduled time, when they never bothered to extend the courtesy or have the receptionist call on her behalf.After 45 minutes I decided this was not the salon for me because professionalism is important to me for finding the right stylist. When I kindly made the receptionist aware I was no longer interested in waiting around she had gone back to let Denisse know. At this point Denisse loudly said “she can’t be patient?” I’m blown away at this point because I’ve been more than patient as I never once complained or gave anyone an attitude. I was still kind and simply just waiting. I understand things run over sometimes, but I really was not interested in waiting for who knows how much longer after already exceeding 45 minutes. I had commented back that I had been patient but this was not a good fit. She came over the the front desk with an attitude and said “This is why I tell my clients if they can’t stay they shouldn’t make appointments”. Well, had you given the courtesy to call me and let me know you were behind I could have made other arrangements or explained I would rebook for another day. She then told me “Well I have to mark it redeemed”. Not once was there an apology. Nothing but attitude from the stylist and disgust that I wasn’t willing to wait even longer than 45 minutes. Would not recommend given how unprofessional her behavior was. Thankfully I contacted Groupon and explained the situation so I had time stamps to prove I was still not seen and was able to be refunded. I would never recommend that stylist to anyone ever. Bought my wife a hair dying package, she wasn’t happy with the results but the hairstylist was very kind to let us come back a few days later to fix it at no extra charge and my wife was then happy with the results. Happy wife happy life.
