had this salon recommended to me in a neighborhood facebook group. i made an appointment online with no one specific, ended up being booked with Meghan. i’ve seen her a few times now and she’s amazing. i give her vague descriptions of what kind of cut i want, (because i somehow never know what i actually want) and show her 10 inspo pics that all look different, and somehow she always nails it. the rest of the staff is also very warm and welcoming.definitely recommend this place for a great neighborhood salon.

I just got my haircut done at Dvir for the first time because the reviews were very good. The moment I walked in the stylist was rude. He argued with me for about five minutes about the haircut I wanted. We compromised on a starting point and then when he was done I stated that I still wanted the look I had spoken about at the beginning. He told me, okay, I’ll wash your hair and then do it. Once he washed my hair he rushed me back over to the chair and told me that I would have to pay before he finished my hair because it was the end of the night…? My appointment was at 6:45 and there were several other people there still being worked on and one person waiting. He made modifications to the cut but still did not complete the layers that I asked for because he repeatedly reminded me that my hair was too thin. I had already stated that I knew that but wanted to do it anyways for more volume and have previously had the same haircut done, well. Once he was done cutting he half heartedly blew out my hair… after it was completely dry because he already used a square hard backed brush to blow dry it. Said he’s done and walked away without saying another word. I guess he was done with me? I’ve never had such an aggressive haircut in my life.

I got a great cut from a man whose name I unfortunately don’t remember. He did not chat, and took a lot less time than a normal cut, and it’s the best cut I’ve ever had. It air drys perfectly.

Not sure what happened here. I usually leave this salon feeling very happy, they have great stylists. My last experience was not so great, the stylist I had (who I’ve never seen before) was way too aggressive (never had someone shampoo my head like that, it was the least pleasant experience I’ve ever had, serious) and clearly didn’t know how to care for curly hair (wanted to skip conditioning and created a knotted mess…). The blow dry was better but still a bit messy and at times uncomfortable (kept entangling hair, passed too many times on the same strands with high heat…) i just watched the damage unfold and I was just relieved when it was over.

I was really excited to get my hair colored for my birthday. Unfortunately, the owner let my stylist take on more clients than anyone can reasonably handle while I was in there. In the time I was being treated my stylist cut and styled 2 other people’s hair. The bleach was in longer than it should’ve been and my hair, which has had perfect loose, thick waves all my life, is broken an frizzy and falling out. I spent $340 for my hair to be ruined!!! Really disappointing. I’m going back to Bensonhurst for reasonable prices and full attention from now on.

Divr salon and Naho are amazing. I’ve been going through a lot of hair changes this year, and each time I’ve come in, Naho has nailed it. Bangs and some shaggy layers? I looked groovy. Chopping off all my length? I left bouncy and refreshed. Today I just went in with 2 reference photos and an idea to shave the sides of my head, and I’ve left with one of the cutest cuts possible. The salon itself is well run, with a friendly atmosphere and lots of good sunlight. I’m very glad to finally have my salon here in Brooklyn.

This is a great salon, and very reasonably priced. I been here a few times for my routine trim, and to try new cuts, and have had different stylist each time. The last time I was here the stylist spent a good ten minutes answering my questions about blow dryer recommendations, and I ended up purchasing and loving the solano thanks to him. It’s a great non-pretentious atmosphere inside and they’re accommodating with appointment times.
