I loved it! My hair is heavy so we opted for a braided updo and it stayed in place from 1:45p until I took it out myself around 12:30a. I’d definitely go back again!

Terrible blow dry. They were 40 minutes late starting my appt. They had to switch me from the stylist I was booked with because she was overrunning quite alot on her previous appt. So the stylist who did my hair was the manager. She wasn’t very friendly, didn’t apologize for the delay, gave me the worst shampoo ever and then did not give me the look I selected…Cosmo. My bangs were stuck to my head vs having volume as I requested and the hairline was still frizzy. It looked like a 75 year old’s hair style. Would not recommend this location or the manager.

I came to this place to get my hair done a couple of years ago and I had a great experience I loved my hair. Before the appointment I called to see if there was anyone available to specialize in African American natural hair and was able to get the question answered without a rude response. Today not too long ago I called because I wanted to come in again to get a blowout, but needed to know if there was anyone again available to do African American natural hair, which is not a crazy question because not all stylist are confident or specialize in natural AA hair (because I don’t want my hair/curls damaged). The lady that answered the phone was really rude. She paused like she was irritated and proceeded to say well all of our stylist can do all types of hair. Throughout the phone conversation she was rude and could not get a direct answer from the only question I asked. I don’t usually write reviews, but that did not sit right with me at all.

Overall it was good. I liked how my hair came out and I think my stylist did a good job. I think the main frustration was the front desk person wasn’t there when I came in so I had to wait for someone to check me in to turn wait for my stylist. I scheduled my time based on the event I was going to and having make up, etc being done, so it was a bit stressful waiting as I had placed everything out. As I was getting my hair done I noticed everyone came in the same way with no one to greet them. The stylists didn’t acknowledge guests as they arrived, which isn’t their job necessary so the guests would ask the stylists for help. It seemed like a poor first impression. I use the SF Locations regularly and I felt the staff at this particular location was as friendly or customer service oriented.

I have been here several times and had pretty good experiences. However, my last visit makes me not want to go back ever again… The last I was there I had a terrible experience. The girl that did my hair was so rough I felt it for days even after I told her I was tender headed. Additionally, I smelled burning hair not once but three times during my visit. Then for several days afterward if my hair got too close to my face I could smell burnt hair.
