I am so pleasantly surprised!! As a mixed girl with curly hair (3b-c) I was very skeptical. To get my hair straight it takes a blowout + flatiron to achieve my desired results. So I was a little worried I’d be left with a poofy frizzy mess. But that was not the case at all. My stylist was able to blow out my whole head in like 10 minutes which was crazy and then passed a curling iron through and that was all. It came out so amazing, my roots were BONE straight. I walked home in a wind storm and even slept on it last night and the curls are still intact. If you are a curly girl and have always wanted to try dry bar, you won’t be disappointed!

Drybar has no grace period – something I have never before encountered in the services industry, and is completely illustrative of the way in which they run their business. When my friend and I arrived 10 minutes late for our appointment, we were charged a cancellation fee and no effort was made by the receptionists/store manager to reschedule us. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

The membership situation is really disappointing. I’ve learned that they are a franchisee which makes cancellation a challenge. Additionally, they were having system issues with their memberships which was recently fixed. Unfortunately, I had tried cancelling multiple times and I’m not sure what happened but they were un successful. It took me a few attempts before getting in contact with someone from a franchisee. I was then passed around to the wrong locations while trying to get in contact with someone to cancel my account. When I finally made contact, they did cancel my account (after several phone calls and requested calls backs), but that wasn’t just the issue. I cancelled a few times and my card was being charged. And the manager, Elizabeth will not acknowledge my questions about benefits on my account or the refund request. It’s really unprofessional honestly, the whole franchisee relationship doesn’t always make for the best customer experience but then to ignore the fact I’m owed a refund is immature. I shouldn’t be punished for your system issues.

Drybar is a chain of Hair salons with several locations in the city. I am happy with my hair 8 times out of 10. It is important to explain what you want since you are not having the same person blow your hair unless you ask for them.Service is good and the place is very clean.

I had an appointment for a blow-out with Sierra before a formal event this week, and she did a great job. She was really sweet and funny, and my hair looked amazing. She was really receptive to what I told her I wanted (I am picky) and worked hard to make it happen. Best Drybar I’ve been to in the city, by far!

It was fun going back to the salon for a hair treatment and blowout after a year in quarantine. The staff were cheerful and welcoming. I have extensions and the products were safe and nourishing to my hair. The expertise of my stylist was good, but she did not spend much time asking me about my overall look, or how much volume I would like in my hair; I had to play with it more after I left.

Looking at the reviews makes me sad my experience was above and beyond thank you KAY. Will definitely go back in one week. My hair had volume and then some. My stylist got more then 22% gratuity because I loved it that much worth the price. Stop complaining ladies and speak up no one can read your mind.

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityMiserable customer service and attitude. No accountability. Thanks for nothing Marvin!I had a terrible experience at this DryBar. I booked my appointment 5 days in advance for 7am on Monday. When I walked in Marvin told me the stylist was not there and that I would have to wait 30-40 minutes. I admittedly was annoyed. I had a 9am photoshoot, where I was paying for rental space, a photographer, and a support team. I was relying on this appointment, and for it to be reasonably on time, which is why I scheduled in advance.Marvin was obnoxious and not at all understanding or helpful. As I tried to get clarity on what the delay was and if it made sense to wait around, Marvin would not give me any additional info. He told me I was acting crazy, then took off his mask and told me “you are a crazy lady and you can either wait or leave!” I AM NOT CRAZY!!!1!!~~!! But seriously, what an obnoxious way to deal with an issue. I would have really appreciated a heads up that my appointment would be cancelled or delayed. I could have saved some very precious and expensive time that morning.A cancelled/delayed appointment is awful enough when you’re on a tight schedule. Marvin’s unprofessionalism just compounded my frustration. I do not recommend this DryBar :(Service: HairstylingMiserable customer service and attitude. No accountability. Positive: QualityI just want to start by saying that my sister and I have been looking for a place to straighten our hair for about 6 months now. Some salons hung up on us, never returned our calls and some told us they dont do our hair… Im pregnant and refuse to take the 4 hours out to stand up in my tiny bathroom and straighten my hair.My sister has 4c hair and she has never gotten her natural hair straighten in the 4 years shes been natural. I haven’t been into a salon in 11 years. Our appointment was for 9:45 am, my sister picked me up at 9:15 am and we made it there around 9:25 but there was absolutely no parking. We tried looking for blocks, but my sister finally dropped me off in front of the salon at 9:40. My sister made it in around 10am maybe 10:10. one of the first things I said to my stylist is “you are the first person in 11 years to touch my hair” I think I made her nervous. This place is AMAZING!!!! This is a group of amazing people working there! I am in love with my extremely straight hair! Liz took my hair from 3c to bone straight and was amazing about it! My sister, its very hard to get her approval, when she walked out of that salon, her hair blowing from her face because of all the bounce she said “dam! my hair flowing!’! SHE LOVES IT! They gave us free umbrellas because of the rain! We didn’t get any drinks, my guess is because of covid, but we had a great experience! We are actually sending our little sister and my nieces there next week! 10/10 highly recommend! I was scared because of the reviews I read, but my sister is planning on going back once a month and I will be there twice a year! Try it out!Service: HairstylingI just want to start by saying that my sister and I have been looking for a place to straighten our hair for about 6 months now.
