Started going to Dream Girls about 6 months or so ago & my girl Tiffany and her Assistant Amaya have done wonders for my hair. Not only is it growing but it’s so healthy. Stopnis made see her she does it all…except for Perms (none of those happening there), I wore one for years and now no more. They’re a great team and do amazing things for your hair.

Purchased 2 day shipping on 1/7/23 for Curling hair products for my daughter’s showcase; to date it hasn’t been shipped(1/15/23). Wow!!! I will be requesting compensation on shipping. I had to order from another supplier who shipped and delivered in 24 hours.

I went to this salon to get an install I sold me on there IG. Btw I do hair as well, but didn’t feel like doing it for my bday they were rude and my hair looked a mess I tried to give tips but I felt like I didn’t want any to overstep my boundaries. As soon as I left I had to find another stylist and make another appointment

This salon deserves 0 stars. Very unprofessional. So many hands go through your head when you’re at this facility and to think I would be done sooner took about 8 hours. When there are multiple stylists in there. Sat under the dryer for over an hour doing nothing. Also seems like the other stylists are unsure of their work with having to asking other stylists to come see if they did it correctly. Their prices DO NOT MATCH their quality of work. They are very over priced. I know ladies the reviews and some of end results look very promising, but at what cost? They make it sound good but don’t buy into it. TANYA(LEAD STYLIST) DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO INSTALL A LACE CLOSURE FOR A WEAVE NEITHER DOES SHE KNOW HOW INSTALL TRACKS !!The front of my closure started to lift just days after installation. When I called back I asked to speak to her. She wouldn’t come to phone and stated to the receptionist I’d have to come in and pay for maintenance which would’ve been $70-90. Mind you I just paid nearly $800 for my services a couple days before. LADIES I know the growth looks good but it’s what is in those bottles they spray in your hair and possibly the shampoo they use that makes your hair grow. *My advice is just find hair growing supplements and shampoo/conditioner that promote hair growth. This salon is just robbing women who have high hopes of restoring their hair from prior damage!!

I visited this salon several weeks ago for a sew-in with minimal leave out. My appointment was scheduled for 9:00 AM, yet, I was not seen until 10:30 AM. After my hair was washed, deep conditioned, blow dried and assessed by Tonya; her assistant began to braid my hair for my install. However, she would stop every few braids to text someone. I found this to be very rude and blatantly disrespectful to the customer that is paying for a service.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI would’ve put 0 stars if I could’ve !So I paid for my appointment 3 months in advance and 1 month before my appointment they called telling me my appointment was the next day. I informed them my appointment was for the following month at 8 am, I was told I can “switch” to that date but 8 am was no longer available keep in mind I paid 90 dollars for that date and time, they also couldn’t find the record of my deposit so I had to go through my bank records. So I get there at 10:30 for my 11:00 appointment it starts off well but then after my wash I sat around for 3 hours waiting ( they were over booked) then my hair got blow dried and I waited for a trim then a braid up then the tracks and style. 4 different women were in my head I asked for my edges to not be braided and they were, they changed the price by 10 dollars in the 24 hours I was told my price. They gossip and talk about the clients right there in front of us and for all the money we pay we shouldn’t have to be there for 12 hours. I didn’t get home until 10 at night because they are greedy and don’t care about our time they purposely wash your hair so you’re stuck there waiting. Then to gossip about us right in front of us, make faces and smart comments. They charge way too much money for the way they conduct business we are not cattle and I work hard for my money. I don’t know what was worse, the mix up with my date and time, the mix up of losing my deposit , the 12 hour full day , or the way they make faces and gossip about us while we are still there! Save your money ! The trick is that they trim your hair before braiding and use tea tree oil and almond oil in their hair products. That’s it, don’t fall for the Instagram hype, they are overrated, rude, unprofessional, and overpriced! They don’t even offer you refreshments or some type of credit or discount for the inconvenience and to see they’ve been doing this for years! Just greedy I’m not about to contribute to anyone’s lifestyle especially when I don’t feel appreciated and valued as a customer. This is the worse salon experience of my life I cried when I got home! Also another review stated that the braiders ask each other for help, that’s true when they are learning and I had someone practicing on my head today too! She needed help and the girl came over and did it for her and sewed the cap on so tight I had to have tonya loosen the cap before putting the tracks on, also Tanya said she doesn’t know how to not sew the tracks on too tight . Idk it just seems they are all in there to make about 10,000 a day and they dgaf about the customers. Almost 500 dollars and I’m in pain, I’m humiliated, and I’m really disappointed, also THERE IS NO SECRET, TRIM YOUR HAIR BEFORE EACH INSTALL, PUT TEA TREE OIL IN YOUR SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER, USE ALMOND OIL AND ADD TEA TREE OIL TO THAT, THATS LITERALLY ALL THEY DO! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! OVERPRICED, RUDE, & UNCOMFORTABLE! Such a disappointment, I left an honest review on yelp and they had it removed. Stay away from them don’t let them use you to keep up their over their means lifestyles EDITED to add: they lied to Yelp and had my Yelp review removed, I will be adding it back!Services: Hair extensions, HairstylingI would’ve put 0 stars if I could’ve !So I paid for my appointment 3 months in advance and 1 month before my appointment they called telling me my appointment was the next day. While a lot of people may have there grips on here about Tonya and how she runs her business but you cannot deny her work ethics. She and her staff are constantly working like a fine tuned machine to get her clients in and out of the shop. She’s trains all of her staff to details of caring for her clients. She doesn’t stop for needless things like gossip, picking up kids, going out to purchase food and spending countless hours gone like many shops here in Southern California. So yes I’m extremely patient because not only does she have excellent results with her Healthy Hair program, but the wait time is justified with the volume of clients she has. I’ve also noticed that she employs young black girls and leaves room for them to grow. Not to many black owned businesses practice this. I hate to hear blacks begins with the “I try to support black businesses” and lead in to their “BUT” meaning that had every intention to tearing down the business with their comments. No other race/nationality does this to one of their own. I’m also skeptical of these google super surveyors who get paid to go and try out restaurants and various other businesses. They often receive money or other perks for what they do from those establishments…smh

I was a patron of this salon for a few years. I love Tonya and her work, but the worst part of this salon is the inability to run the business like a business. This place is not cheap so I expect over and beyond service. I called on many occasions to get an appointment and never received a call back. I left several voicemails and never got a call back. I spoke with an “assistant” that was suppose to call me back with a price; no call back. I stopped by during business hours and no one was there. Appointments ended up being an all day event. On more than one occasion I scheduled and appointment for 10:00 am and didin’t leave until after 6:00 pm. I really try to support black owned businesses, but DreamGirls needs to put in more of an effort. Tonya is amazing and does amazing hair, but I just couldn’t jusitify the aggrevation with the prices.

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityLadies please save your money and time by NOT patronizing this salon. The quality of hair care provided isn’t worth the long hours spent in the salon and mistreatment you’ll receive as a client.I’ve been patronizing Dreamgirls for nearly 5 years. My stylist was Tiffany and I must say she is unprofessional and lacks the ability to effectively communicate with clients. For example, It takes her several days to provide availability and overall feedback regarding your appointments. No one at the salon answers the phone. If you’re lucky enough to receive an appointment, be prepared to sit in the salon for 5+ hours or even longer if you are booked for an install. Tiffany wiill make ZERO effort to adjust her schedule to accommodate you if she’s mistakenly booked you for a date she isn’t available. Most recently,I had an appt scheduled for a weave removal. 3 business days before my appt, Tiffany sends a text stating she’s actually off the day she booked my appt. After delayed responses for a resolution to ensure my weave could be taken down on or before my initial appt, I receive a response several hours later at the end of the next business day stating another stylist can take my weave down at a time I’m scheduled to be out of town, which I had already communicated to her. I was given nothing but passive aggressive excuses (see attached screenshots) and no true effort to correct her error. Tiffany stated she did her best to accommodate me. If attempting to schedule me with another stylist during a time I’m scheduled to leave town is her best, I’d hate to see her worse. She claims her assistant can’t come in when she isn’t there AND that her wrist is sprained. This is totally unacceptable. Tiffany could have stepped in to take it down but she never offered this as an accommodation to correct her mistake. What type of business are they running? Definitely not 1 I will continue to spend my money with any longer. My advice to Dreamgirls is improve your customer service skills and start treating your customers like you value their business. Stop overbooking clients, hire a receptionist, and develop a plan to decrease the turnover of assistants to ensure they are available to help you run a better business.Ladies please save your money and time by NOT patronizing this salon.
