It’s not dream hair beauty salon, it’s nightmare hair salon! My absolute worst hair cut ever, would give 0 star!!! The man with tattooed arm had a glance at the picture I provided and started to cut quickly. He doesn’t have any techniques and has no idea of layers. When I complained about something, he just ignored my complaints and insisted that his haircut is looking great, which is absolutely not true. When I was checking out, they are even requesting 15~20% tips. The hair dresser was even trying to argue with me, because he is not totally happy with the 10% tips I gave. I hope nobody would ever experience something similar. Stay away from this place!!!

I tried many hair salons since I moved to the Bay Area, Wendy from Beauty Salon is among the top. Since then, I came here to do the hair cut almost every month for the last three years except the 6 months covid lock down, Wendy is trust worth, consistent and professional. The price is not among the cheapest tie, but you got what you paid for. I am a little picky on my hair style since I grow up in a hair salon, I have tried a lot of hairstylists, from east coast to the west coast, American, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Wendy’s skill is among the top. Recommended!

This has to be the most unpleasant hair salon visit I’ve had. Went in for a hair cut. A lady helped me and she had very little patience after seeing a picture of what I wanted, and quickly went to work. It was only towards the end of her cutting spree that it became apparent that she has screwed up, by which time the only option was for me to get a perm. She tried to deny blame by saying “young people around here mostly want short hair so I thought you wanted the same” and “your hair needed to be re-permed anyways”. Absolutely terrible at communication and forces customers into buying a premium service when they have no choice. She could offer to do a perm before she started cutting my hair and the perm would come out better when done on longer hair, too, and if nothing else it would make me feel like I was involved in the decision making process. Even on the perm, she did a sloppy job. On more than one occasion the fluid got into my eyes. Worse yet, she kept talking to my partner and I in Cantonese even after I told her, 3 times, that my partner could not understand Cantonese. All of these, and she pressured us to pay a tip. Horrible service and I left the place feeling I was duped.

Henry is a very seasoned hair dresser. I’m so happy to know that he has opened his own salon! I have followed him for many years and referred many friends to him. On top of getting a perfect and fashionable haircut, you will always enjoy a fun conversation with Henry and leave with a big smile on your face. Opening a small business during COVID is really tough, please give Henry a try and you won’t regret it!
