Dr. Lockstar specializes in creating, maintaining and repairing dreadlocks for all ethnicities and hair types via crocheting, without twisting, interlocking, wax, gel, etc. Caucasian, African, Asian, etc?? It does not matter who you are. Dr. Lockstar uses a specialized crochet needle, and his own techniques to create the look and feel of mature dreadlocks from day one. Thus, all of our services are all natural and require no products – whatsoever. Just skillz. We are available only by appointment. If you are a potential new client, you will need to have an in person or digital consultation before an actual appointment can be set up on the website.

Can we talk about how wonderful Micheal is?! I got the crappiest extensions done by another lock artist over a year ago. Micheal for the last year has been fixing each loc, I’ve been trusting the process 🙂 Today he reattached my hair ( I had saved it after shaving off a side) and took out the horrible extensions. I will NEVER ago to anybody else, I will never trust anybody else!! Locing hair is an art form that Michael has clearly mastered!!

Apparently I called this place 3x when the obviously incredibly narcissistic owner was “busy”. Trust and believe I never once called this place… ever… Go have a look at his website and if it doesn’t scream redflags all over it then Idk what does… website screams controlling narcissistic and Sociopathic behavior to the exact definition. I would never call this person nor would I want to give someone who is so full of themselves my business. Michael is a awesome guy im on my third set of locs second by him i searched and searched all over for the right person to do my hair and i came upon his work. He is always ready, provides a comfortable atmosphere and wonderful company and is exceptionally talented at any type of dread work you give him! Michael did an amazing job fixing up my existing locks (ones I had put in myself and done a poor job on) as well as adding in a couple rows of new locks. I’m beyond impressed with my locks!! I thought for sure the ones I’d put in myself would be messed up forever but it’s been a few months since Dr. Lockstar gave them some TLC and now they’re locking up beautifully. If you need an expert lock doctor, Michael is your guy! Pricey, but worth every penny.

HIS PRICES ARE WHATEVER ! He can be disrespectful when asked a question about his service. Seeing these reviews , i thought maybe he’s cool. But just like they say a person is only cool with you if their getting your money.. Also, I never seen a person charge you to look at your head, even in a video call, it’s 30.00. Couldn’t even enter the website. Before you can even enter the site, the CEO himself says that if you do not believe in Christianity or have some alternative to the believe that you find another service provider. I googled info on locks to gain prices and compare rates. The last thing I wanted was to be slapped with a religious on track minded view of the world. What I believe or anyone for that matter has nothing to do with me getting my hair done. Nothing to do with the green money I hand to you. And nothing to do with what you do when you go home. Mind your business and leave your personal view out. You’ll find you’ll get more business that way. The worst way to make money is to separate your clientele.

Dr. Lockstar does a very complete and fantastic job! Upon scheduling with Michael, I met with him at his space and we talked about my history with dreads, time I’ve had them and his approach to caring for an individuals progression with dreads. He was extremely thorough and answered all of my questions and concerns about my young dreads. He corrected many “kinks” and issues with them and his technique is much less uncomfortable than I’ve experienced with others. Much appreciated for sure! I definitely enjoyed working with him and would definitely recommend his professional services to anyone looking for the best in care for their dreads!
