Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityEdit:The owner that owns the salon IMMEDIATELY messaged me to make sure that everything about my interaction that was negative was changed! One of the stylists even messaged me personally to make sure they could make it right. The service is always amazing here, as I stated in my earlier review, but then willing to make the change gives them more than 5 stars!It’s a shame that places like this with good stylists still use a gendered haircut price range. I’ve gone in several times and each time I’m charged differently for the same haircut depending on if I look masculine or feminine that day. This place has awesome employees and they always have a smile on their faces. I got my nails done and there perfect. I give all of the credit to a beautiful young lady named Jill. When you get your nails done ask for this beautiful lady. She’s so funny and has a beautiful laugh. I give downtown cuts a FIVE star.

I went to get my hair done as an Ombré on my hair. The girl had to bleach it and she didn’t do absolutely anything, didn’t even make a difference but a few stands. I had to go and do it myself and I was capable of doing it better than the “professional “ hair dresser could. I asked if she could get it like the picture I showed her. She said yes, and she sure as hell didn’t. $100 wasted. Very disappointed. If you want your hair dyed to something different, do not recommend them what so ever.

This is my second time getting my hair cut by Kate. The cut I got today was really good and it was affordable so I’m happy about that. With that being said, Kate is by far the most unnecessarily confrontational person I’ve ever met. She was so negative about my hair and my hair type (I’m part Hispanic so I have very curly hair). She disrespected me by ignoring my personal requests, and made comments that made me feel like my hair was ugly and untamable. I love my hair…and I know it’s not for everyone but I would hope to have a hair dresser that could be kind and not resort to petty comments or childish outbursts. I don’t recommend using Kate as a hair dresser if you have curly or “fluffy” hair.
