When I first came to Justin I had had severe cystic acne for two years, and it was progressively getting worse. It was interfering with my sleep because it hurt to put my face on the pillow, dangly earrings or jacket collars hurt, I didn’t want to do anything in which I couldn’t wear my eight layers of make-up, etc. I thought that I had tried everything – months of topical and oral antibiotics, steroid injections, continuous facial, entirely homeopathic/holistic methods… the list goes on. The one thing I didn’t try was Accutane, which I had always had a hard line on, however I did seriously start to consider it out of desperation. I was so lucky to find Justin when I moved to SF. I have been seeing him for about 4 months and in that time my skin has become completely flat – with only the rare and normal break out. Other medial professionals consistently made me feel as though my cystic acne was something completely out of the ordinary, making me feel helpless and isolated – Justin knew exactly what to do when he first saw me and was committed to helping me figure out the root cause of my acne.
