I was expecting a lot more out of them based on my previous reviews but genuinely I don’t think they know how to trim all hair types properly. For context, I have natural 4b/4c hair and went in for a trim and blow out—the first blowout I’ve had in a few years. Everything was fine till it came to apply the trim. The lady just kept cutting and cutting. She started off with the back and I was unable to see the progress she made till it was too late to fix. Rather than catch an attitude, I let her finish it up. The cut looked aesthetically pleasing (which is why I’m not giving them 1 star) but it wasn’t trim, more like a hair cut.

Ive been coming to dory’s salon since i moved to jersey 3 yrs ago. I was looking for a decent salon that can provide the same service my grandma and I had in new york. We found Dory and haven’t regret it since. They are always to welcoming and caring whenever we come. They always ask about my grandma whenever she isn’t with me.
