Critical: QualityI took my daughter to get a wash and set for the first time on 3/4/21… the entire salon was smokey and smelled like burnt hair due to the high heat temps they used on a 10 year old. My daughter complained for the next few days her head was sore and her hair is soooooo burnt and stinks sooo bad i would sue if i could. Noce staff. All 2 of them. I took my daughter to get a wash and set for the first time on 3/4/21… the entire salon was smokey and smelled like burnt hair due to the high heat temps they used on a 10 year old. My daughter complained for the next few days her head was sore and her hair is soooooo burnt and stinks sooo bad i would sue if i could. Noce staff. All 2 of them. Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityI wanted to find a Dominican Salon that wasn’t too far away, so I searched Google for one. Based on the Ok reviews, I took a chance and decided to drive the distance to give this place a try. I only needed to touch-up my graying roots, plus get a blowout. I called and made an appointment, so that there wouldn’t be’ too many people inside at the same time.Upon arrival, 2 ladies were leaving, and 2 were being serviced. When I arrived, my temperature wasn’t taken (even though they have the device on the counter), nor was I asked to sanitize my hands. I had a short wait before I was led to a chair. While there, I observed that chairs/surfaces were not wiped down with any disinfectant in between customers, which was unsettling due to current times. When she put the color on my hair, before stepping away, for some reason, she used a rat tail comb to pinpoint the front edge of my hair. Didn’t think much of it at the time, but in the end, the area where she did that is now balding – discovered it once I got home. I sat there for much longer than required with dye on my hair, because she disappeared (actually left out of the salon), and I truly believe she forgot about me. After I realized it’s been 45 minutes, I asked the assistant where she was, because I shouldn’t have been sitting that long with dye for a root touch-up. After saying something again, the assistant stopped working on the customer she had, and at that point, it had been 50 mins. The lady left in/out of the salon 4 times while I was there, so clearly, a new customer/customers were not her priority! The fact that I had to say something twice before I was rinsed out, is insane.I saw the lady walkout that got her hair tangled up, and in hindsight wished that I left out with her. I had traveled 52 miles to get there, so I was going to stuck it out. Except for my balding spot, and my scalp itching like crazy ever since I left, my blowout and color came out nice.
