Hello, I had went to this salon from a recommendation in 2021. It was my first Brazilian blowout and I was so nervous but the work spoke for it self. This blowout almost lasted me 4 months!! It was beautiful, Of course through extreme care. The prices are also really affordable compared to nowadays. Connect with your stylists, they’ll take care of you. Saying this I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a affordable long lasting Brazilian blowout.

I just moved to the area and thought it may be hard to find a place to go and get my hair done. I’ve gone to The Dominican beauty bar twice and both times I’ve had a great experience. They are a little pricy but we’ll worth it. The products they use are of good quality and leaves my hair nice and soft.

How I wish I could give this place a 0 star for my discriminatory experience. I’ve been here 3x this and never had any complains till today. I called to ask how much it would cost to braid my natural hair, only to be told another price when I got there. Upon correcting them which they refuse to see fault for pricing different upon arrival, they requested for service before payment because black people are known for walking away without payment… I guess. Never been so embarrassed and they didn’t see anything wrong with their action. Left without doing my hair and never going back even though that’s the most convenient spot to me

If I can give this place 0 stars I would. I went in there to remove my hair extensions and have my hair washed. The OWNER of the salon told me that it was $20 to remove the hair & $55 to WASH MY HAIR? Mind you my hair is short. She charged a man next to me to wash and blow dry $45.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI have thick natural hair and I had a great experience. My hair was washed thoroughly very well. The deep condition left my hair soft. I got my ends trimmed plus a blow dry/ flat iron my hair came out very straight without too too much heat. If I had to say one thing I would have liked for my hair to be hydrated more after styling. Overall the stylist were very nice , no long wait very welcoming and the place was clean. I got my ends trimmed plus a blow dry/ flat iron my hair came out very straight without too too much heat. If I had to say one thing I would have liked for my hair to be hydrated more after styling. The staff member washed my hair sooo good ( I like my scalp to be scrubbed). She gave me a treatment and a great trim!!! I pretty much grew up getting my hair done by a Dominican stylist. After I moved from Miami to CT I took a hiatus and stayed natural for 3 years. Today I stopped by and met with the owner to go over her process for implementing a Botox protein treatment. Which is not as strong as a a keratin treatment and your natural hair is still protected during the process. The owner made me feel comfortable with my decision, and also advised me of the type and brand of Botox she uses. I am very particular when it comes to my hair and pretty much deep condition and treat it weekly. The results where amazing and I am so happy that I got the results I sought after! I saw a roach when I was getting my hair done , she stepped on it and slid her foot across and kept working on my hair unbelievable. I can tell they were fighting over something aggressive language towards me not friendly at all I felt uncomfortable I should’ve walked out, my hair wasn’t the same as the photo I showed her I’m on how I wanted it. Crazy I’ll give this a one star for me
