Both my daughter and I went here. I’ve been going to stylists since the 70s and never had a worst one. I wanted to go lighter, and she said oh I get it. WRONG! I went from brunette to platinum. Not blond, white. I only asked for highlights so NOT what I wanted. She fried both my daughter and my hair. My daughter wanted a color lift, she went platinum as well. There’s nothing you can do after you look in the mirror and your hair is white – when I mean fried. I mean it took us years to grow back our hair. My broken hearted teenage daughter lost at least 3 inches, that is how damaged her hair was immediately. The last time I went there, I waited for 35 minutes for my “stylist” to show up to talk to her about trying to correct my hair. The receptionist told me while she’s busy picking up “our lunch”. Even though I showed up on time. Pul-lease! I was there for correction, but then I realized why let her touch my hair again? Free still wouldn’t justify it. Everyone who deals with our hair since – 3 different cities – is like oh my god what did they do?

I booked an appointment for an American Wave because I had an amazing one done the year before at another salon. Unfortunately, it turned out more like an 80’s perm with super tight curls. I told her the rod size I wanted but she insisted on smaller ones for more volume and I trusted her opinion. The rods were not tight against my head so the area near my roots are not curled. She also trimmed it but left the back very long so I have these random long strands that don’t blend well. I’m stuck with this hair for a couple months because the chemicals are harsh and no other salon will rewave it until it’s healthier. I hate leaving bad reviews because everyone at the salon was nice but I have literally cried everyday about this hair. Obviously other people have had great experiences at this salon but if you’re looking to get an American Wave done, I highly recommend going somewhere else. I won’t leave the house without putting my hair up and most likely a hat on. Still crying as I type this review 🙁
