Critical: Professionalism, QualityI usually don’t leave reviews, let alone a bad one, but I hope that this can help someone avoid a bad situation. Keep in mind I have only experienced the keratin treatment with her, so that is the only service I can speak on.I went to go see D’nena back in February to have a keratin treatment done. I was referred to her by a friend of the family. I was hopeful that it would be a good experience, considering I had nothing other than an acquaintance’s word to go off of, but I should have done more investigating before I went in for my appointment.Here are a few key issues I need to list in this review:- D’nena left the product on my head for far longer than she said it needed to be left on for.- When it came to the blow drying portion of the treatment, she had the handheld hair dryer on a scalding hot setting. Whenever I would ask her to put the dryer on a lower setting, she simply nodded in a dismissing way and didn’t change a thing; When I got home and ran my fingers through my hair, there was scabbing all over.- I wanted to make sure that before I went and scheduled my next appointment with her, she could have the dryer on a lower setting as to not burn my scalp, so I called her about it. She then kept repeating that there is only one setting on the handheld dryer (which I personally have never heard of) and that extremely hot heat is required for the product to work to it’s full potential (I have only ever had medium heat for my past keratin treatments, and that still worked amazingly).- I told her that I need it on a lower heat setting because I was left with scalp scabbing. She actually laughed and replied, “I DON’T THINK SO”.What kind of professional are you if a customer is telling you that something you did negatively affected them and you just dismiss their concern in such a disrespectful way? I’ve never encountered a hair dresser who doesn’t work with their clients when they bring up valid concerns or bad past experiences.I can say with full certainty that I will not ever be going back for her services, nor will I recommend her to anybody.
