I would give her 10 stars if I could! Evelyn always does such an amazing job! My hair is natural (besides the bleaching)! I’m very selective about who I allow to do my hair! She never disappoints! A bonus is she is so sweet and caring! She takes the clients needs and wants very seriously! I only let her dye my hair! Most importantly she’s honest! She’ll keep you looking your best! Horrible customer services. My original appointment was canceled twice by Divas employee. Stylists are using offensive language in front of the customer, hoping none understands Spanish. Very sketchy place. I witnessed a fight between two customers (probably they were on drugs). Their “color package” does not include toner, just a bleach.

Pretty decent salon, I’ve been going there for almost 2 years. I typically just get a wash and blow dry. It cost me $45 . The shampoo girl is normally pretty good, downfall is the constant singing, yelling and chatting over your head while your getting services. They don’t talk to the customer much but moreover each other. I usually go monthly after I take my braids out and feel like I’m the topic of conversation. I went recently after doing just that and while the girl was shampooing my hair, she was speaking in her language and everyone turned and looked towards me. GO FIGURE… I’m not sure if I’ll continue to stay or find another place. I get my hair braided often and like the wash and blow dry after. I’ll see ♀️

Critical: QualityVery nice lady, but she is not knowlegable about hair care when a person has a relaxer. She uses to much unnecessary heat. It is very much intentional when she uses high heat over freshly relaxed hair. She relaxed, roller set, blew my hair dry and went up and down my hair shaft. I tried to stop her. She did it over and over . It takes longer to tell you how she damaged my hair then how fast it took. I will have to cut my hair of to deal with this. Owner Evelyn is very rude and definitely doesn’t know how to do hair. She said leave bleach on head for hours so she can do a blowout and style on another client who also was not happy when she was done. She doesn’t know what toner is and doesn’t know how to bleach Safely . By far the Worst experience at a salon in my life.

I have been a customer of Evelyn’s since she was working at another location. The first time Evelyn did my hair I fell in love with the job she did. It was amazing. My hair has perm in it, but I am going back to natural hair and what a smooth transition that is taking place. After leaving Evelyn’s beauty salon you cannot tell that 3 quarts of my hair is natural and a quart of it still has perm. Every six weeks or so Evelyn clips out the ends and will do so until the perm is gone. Each visit I do an emergency treatment and the next visit I do a deep condition. With my treatments I rotate every two weeks. My mother hair is also natural and Evelyn takes care of it too. My mother was very resistant to visiting Evelyn, but she did and now she too is loving the way Evelyn is caring for her natural hair. Great service and manners!

Evelyn is the best! I’ve been looking for a hair salon in the Laurel area for a couple of years now since a hair stylist used too much heat and damaged my natural hair. Evelyn is nursing it back to health, she doesn’t use excessive heat and has the best hair products I’ve ever seen at a hair salon. If you want your hair healthy and beautiful go to Evelyn! She is a sweetheart and makes you feel like a long time friend in seconds.

To the point she made me feel uncomfortable I had to leave. Went to another Dominican salon they had no problem with my hair and didn’t push my head and talk to me in a rude manner. Another thing I want to add, when Evelyn tried to put on the rollers she did not comb my hair, and said out loud that your hair is not good it’s long and tangled in front of everyone. Enough to destroy someone’s confidence. The whole salon looks horrible and unorganized.My appointment was at 11am, she was doing her hair.
