Directions in Design is a very clean and attractive salon. The owner, receptionist, and stylists are all welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed and upbeat. Patrons range from children to the elderly and everyone is treated with friendliness and respect. I have been a satisfied customer since 2005. Scott has always listened to my hair concerns and has been very helpful in guiding my style choices. He is truly interested in his clientele and I consider him both my friend and my stylist. I witness similar relationships with the other stylists and their customers. I am confident that when I enter the salon that I will leave feeling refreshed and happy with my haircut and style! I feel lucky to have found Directions in Design!

I have been going to DID and following Laura Singer for 30 years. The Salon is a great place and everyone is friendly. Laura has done an amazing job over the years and is and excellent colorist and stylist. She knows how to cut long hair and style it. She also understands curly hair like I have and I always leave feeling great and looking my best. I like the fact that they offer some great products like the Vinyllux brand for Nail polish and it does last 2+ weeks. I love that it is no fuss/muss and I can actually have polish that lasts and doesn’t peal off.

I have been going to Directions In Design for over 25 years. Obviously, I am extremely pleased with the staff for their friendly attitudes and their timeliness, as well as their professional knowledge with hair types and styles. I have thin, fine, straight hair, which isn’t easy to work with. I have been seeing Scott for color and styling and I have not been unhappy with his “work”! I have also seen a few of the other staff members when Scott is not there, and have been very pleased with them as well. ( My daughter and son have also been to Scott and Michelle.) The facility is clean and brightly decorated. I cannot say enough about how happy I am that I “discovered” Scott so many years ago!!

I started going to Judy A. before she originally opened this salon, well over 30 years ago. Over the years, after Judy retired, I started having Scott do my hair. He is an expert at what he does! He and Michelle run this salon so professionally…business-wise as well as with excellent customer service. Everyone at DID keeps up with the trends, is flexible with their time, and is sensitive to their their customers’ needs. I highly recommend this salon and all of it’s services.

I’ve gone in there at times with no more ideas as to what I want beyond “short” and Laura always comes up with something flattering that I love. The salon is clean and they have a nice variety of products for many hair types. They offer many different services, all at reasonable prices.

I no longer work around there but still make the drive from Wauwatosa because of the wonderful service and friendly staff! It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home. Large, bright, and airy with clean restrooms and complimentary coffee. I have had wonderful stylists work on my “problem” thin hair with great results, and the pedicures are the best!
